Yeah very funny!
He uses it way more than I do but I am still not finished building on it. It needs bedliner, finish out of electrical box with more lights and power control, solar panel and upgrade of shower/kitchen water supply.

LOL
The Holy Grail of M416's----scissor lift that is easy. We have seen actuators, scissor jacks, hydraulic four corner lifts, and the list goes on . I don't think anyone has come up with an easy, one button or easy pushup that will allow a full annex room use.
If you design it you will be...
Ditto to all that has been said. I have a rear receiver and carry bikes, sometimes a cooler, or even a 150 lb+ expired deer. You have got to adjust weight to the front to compensate.
Wondered what had happened on this one. Sometimes life gets in the way of these projects and it takes longer than expected. Glad to see you are keeping the original axle. You never know when you may go back to it. My CJ rims fit the original so I used it and even bought an extra one for 20...
I have used a bike rack with 2 mountain bikes and that was nothing at all. No flex in bumper or frame, no balance issues but the bikes are light. I have also put a basket rack on the back to haul a deer during the hunting season. That did change the balance and I moved some weight to the...
Great find and in nice shape. Welcome to the club
Now the eternal dilema of do I restore, do I modify, do I cut a tailgate, do I drill any more holes in the tub??????? Neverending.
Remember it is YOURS. Customize it to fit your needs and have fun doing it.
Wasn't it fun breaking loose...
Great trailer but I am with Mark------much more pictures!!!!!!!

Funny! Hard to hold back when building these trailers.
Did you decide how to hinge the top? How will it work with a rack over it, maybe I missed something on your thread!
Nice lid. I used a gasket that was about that thick and is seals REALLY TIGHT. Sometimes hard to break it loose.
As usual I am late to all the new 416 builds but have been off of here for a while so..................
WELCOME TO ANOTHER BOTTOMLESS MONEY PIT
Now that the statement is out of the way, what a great project. Wish mine had been that straight. They always Looks straight until you try to make...
I agree as I am having the same issue with my CJ especially due to tire being mounted on the rear. Temporary solution has been a receiver extension but longterm I will need to extend tongue.
BTW don't blame me. I am blaming Dawson with LSJC for his at Truckfest that got me started.
If I were doing it again, I would still sandblast but probably just spray it myself as it would be easier to touch up.
There are several excellent threads on 416's going right now. A ton of innovative and creative ideas that are free for the stealing. I would read as many as you can so that...
