    Winter 2013 M416 Build Thread

What is the center to center on the holes? The old CJ2/3 had these on the back and the spacing was 2 1/8", if I am not mistaken. Any of the willys parts houses should have them. Try this...

    Winter 2013 M416 Build Thread

You can still buy the tie downs that fit and they would look good and be useful to hang stuff on while at camp.

Super Simple Trailer Build - RTT on M416

Nice job!!! How did it tow with the tent that high?

annex for rtt , yes or no ?

Just my late 2 cents to this. I have an ARB on a trailer and even went to the trouble of cutting down the annex to make it fit height-wise. Like all have mentioned, it is easy to set up and a big plus for changing, dogs, sitting out of the rain, etc. Right now there is a CVT group buy...

ARB or CVT roof top tent?

I have the ARB and it is great but if the CVT had been around and at the current price I probably would have gone with it. I have seen it at Overland Expo for the last several years and they are great. ARB charges for the annex, it has no floor. If I am not mistaken the CVT comes with annex...

M416 trailer wheel adapters and spacers.

I hear that U.S Wheel Adaptes in Aurora CO can make them to fit over the large center on M416.

    M416 and baby gear....

Well done!!!! My welding skills are dismal. Had I built the lid it would fit anything but the trailer.

    Winter 2013 M416 Build Thread

Got my tent while the lid was still not attached to the trailer. Almost killed me to have to wait so i strapped the lid down with ratchet straps and set the tent up just to see how it looked. I feel your pain (or anxiety!!) Just look at it this way, it is a neverending project so you have...

Nice work. I like the new fenders and tailgate. Angle iron will give you nice seal for lid and also support area where tailgate is. Keep the pictures coming! I am always trying to steal new ideas.

    Heating RTT in winter?

Have used the same Buddy heater with blower in my RTT and annex. It warms everything up but does use a lot of fuel. It is a pain to get up in the night to turn it back on. I need a remote control for it!!!!

M416 trailer build my brother and I

I see where Powertank now makes a 10 lb propane bottle holder but I carry 2-5lb bottles and never seem to run out and the 10 lb may be too tall for my M416. Yeah weight is always an issue. I am about to completely empty my trailer and go thru each item, assess the "real need" and eliminate...

M416 trailer build my brother and I

Nice job on the bumper. It just keeps getting better. Did you use the 5 lb propane size?

    RTT mounting height?

Just to follow up, I agree that it is easier to setup and close on the trailer as I can reach everything including the cover. I am about 5'10"-11". To address access to trailer, I have tent fold out over hinge side and annex room is on that side. That way if I need to access trailer (and no...

    Jevy's humble M-416 build thread

More like this one. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20119418/ I only used 3 of the leads and zip tied one strip to each of the tent poles in RTT (that is top and two angled ones) and sometimes this is too bright. I also installed an inline toggle switch from Home Depot that is near...
