The Euro version of the Nissan looks decent at least. The NA version of their full size is an abomination, and I wouldn't use someone else's money to buy one. I do very much like the looks of the little Nissan, but there are lots of options for small vans I guess.
I can't say I am surprised...
UPDATE: Purchased a new one online. Garelick leg going up for sale soon!
Hello,
Long shot I know, but I thought why not give this a try? I am looking for a Lagun Table leg / mounting system, you know the adjustable swing away ones. I currently have a VERY nice Garelick extruded aluminum...
So after a LONG delay, I finally got off my ******** and did some work on the camper. It wasn't nearly as much as I wanted to but its a start...it rained on and off, so as soon as I would get set up, it would start to shower. Stop, clean up... wait, sun comes out, rinse and repeat.
I pulled out the...
Awesome sir! Honestly half the fun of owning something like this and doing something like this is the actual work of building it. I got to see my old trailer last weekend. It turns out the folks I sold it to took it on an epic adventure around the US and Baja Mexico and then returned here and...
Hmmm... that is a problem. My roof is probably in and around 150# give or take, and I am easily able to manage it up and down. The place that i got my struts from do custom lengths and lift strength. You can configure them in any way you want, right down to the ball end sizes and how they...
I put in a set of 4 gas struts on mine and will be using bi-folding manual lift bars inside. Was planning on finishing those this past weekend or this weekend, but its raining and I have nowhere to work.
Here is the gas struts installed... they work awesome btw.
As I recall these are 50#...
Aaaaaand now I have to work tomorrow. Nothing like a last second emergency to ruin your plans. Ok, not an emergency, but when the Board of Directors say we need this in 5 days... I guess they need it in 5 days.
Sigh.
Thanks Pigsammy, much appreciated.
Man... I can't believe it has been like going on 6 months since I updated this post... and like the better part of 8 since I even touched this thing. Life totally got in the way of things, and well, motivation too. I am taking this Friday off, and am going to start back at er. It's my 51st...
That linked handle attachment looks like it would be pretty simple to make yourself (or myself even)? I am going to do something similar for mine. I need to rethink my drawer / pull out option I put in and something like this would work good. I only have a CF-35 but similar handles.
Interesting...
Yeah man, I am looking forward to getting out again as well... its now been 2 years since I have been out to an event. Lots of family camping in the RV, but none in Overland Event mode. heh
Looking forward to following along in this build.
Wow, that looks great man. I sure had a lot of fun building mine, and sure do still miss it. Even more than I miss the Jeep! I though about keeping it, but sold it to build a camper (custom and home built of course). Yours is in much better shape than mine was when I bought it, great starting...
Love this build sir... sorry for the 20 ish likes that I added to your notifications today...lol I just read through this whole thread end to end. I would love to do a build like this myself one day...
Maybe after all of this Pandemic stuff is over I will get to see it in person at NWOR or...
