Initially I essentially had it wired like that less the wire from the junction point to the starting batteries.
In my case I have a single 215 amp Mitsubishi alternator. I’ve read that this 32 pound beast can put out up to 300 amps cold, and the 215 amps 24/7. The big catch is that it’s $950...
When I ditched my isolator for a Blue Sea's ARC, I connected the alternator output lead to the starting battery lead, and house battery lead to the other pin on the ARC.
I originally wanted to charge the house batteries directly and then connect the starting, but the Alternator's regulator...
Good to see you're making more progress.
Can you let us know how the CAT Delete works out for you.
My '97 exhaust has a CAT in it, but I've got an '01 exhaust pipe that I've been debating about swapping in. It doesn't have a CAT and it looks like it would be a direct bolt in. I'm just not...
I suspect I need to change the fuel filter again… I don’t put a ton of miles on it, but it has probably been 7+ years since I last changed it. If it were a pickup truck it’d be easy, but it’s not. It’s starting to feel less responsive when accelerating up hills at highway speeds. After changing...
After much searching for a smaller package I broke down and bought 100.
Before.
After.
When I bought the rig it was missing one flag. Not a big deal, but after 8+ years a couple more broke and I was down 3. My inner OCD was bothered by this.
Now some of you would say just junk them. However...
Looks great.
I’d consider making it a wee bit taller while you’re at it. It’d be so much easier now that down the road. But… it all depends on how you plan to use it.
I've messaged the seller of these seats several times to come look at them and they haven't answered. I'll probably go with the '07 seats that aren't listed by a scammer.
The Ford E350 seat covers I'm already using should fit them perfectly.
Given the maintenance costs of a 6.0 diesel I understand why you're ditching it. I'm thankful I have an "older" 7.3 diesel. It has roughly 250k miles on it, but since I usually only drive it 3-5k a year, I'll not be wearing it out.
That said, the gearhead in me will be following your build...
Good to know. I’m leaning towards the ‘21 seats because they shouldn’t also be worn out. I’m also considering a set of ‘07 seats that are in decent shape.
Part of what I’ll need to do is see what fits my 6’4”+ body best.
I can sort out the wiring... I don't even think my '97 has any seatbelt light. Worst case I'd have to swap the older buckles onto the older seats.
I seem to recall that, as you're saying, that the '97-'14 seats can be swapped. 2021 I'm less certain about, but I'm thinking I can make the work...
The front seats in my 1997 Ambulance are tired after 18k hours on the road. I'm looking at these seats from a 2021 E450 and wanting to know if they will fit without redesigning the world...
I'd probably dye them to match, but what do you all think?
As things work out, the deal fell through for the interior property. The seller was extremely uncooperative and we didn’t the information from the seller to buy insurance. Deal collapsed because we needed a couple extra days to get an insurance binder.
On another front… as timing works out. Ran...
I'll keep that in mind. It's likely that one of my son's will be moving to Calgary and another will be half way there. So... who knows, I may be visiting out that way.
