If your gear is at all due for a refresh just buy some new gear in a kit with a bag. The bags even the mid level gear comes with are good enough and you can sell the old stuff or pack it into the bowels of the vehicle to keep as spares.
Paying a lot of money for an empty bag didn't make sense...
That's just it I got registered and now my password doesn't work and won't reset as I was doing it as all this was going down initially. I never made it all the way through activation. I gave up until things settled down as there was literally no way to contact support because it was all down...
I am a big guy across the chest and also a fat ass. I never fit in sleeping bags well but when it is really cold they do seem to work better. I finally broke down and bought this two person bag for myself. It is so nice to be able to turn around an move around unhindered. The bag also completely...
I bought an explorer plus a few months ago but I was too cheap to activate it until closer to my travels. But about when I was going register and activate was the same time as the hack. So not so much for doing that then. Wondering if anyone has activated and used one recently? How did it go...
I still would not lable it a strong positive attribute. Just like the ride and suspension tuning and steering feel is generally better in an IFS than for a solid axle. I would not say the lack of those things in a solid axle is a positive attribute either despite being good enough. It's all...
For some reason I read Trophy Trucks but processed Pro-4 in my head. Reading comprehension fail, my bad.
But if the vehicle is modded at all in the suspension or engine department or putting a bunch of torque down though a cv because it is at max GVWR and start throwing in high steer angles is...
I have mine mounted with knobs with L brackets because I used to raise and lower my rack for maximum fuel econ for 2000 mile highway slogs and then raise it up while traveling around at the destination. I also needed it to be higher than the RTT so I could walk under it properly even when...
I still can't figure out if this thread is real or a schizoid hallucination I am unknowingly playing out to troll my other personality.
You should see if you can hire these guys as consultants. They are experts at superfluous maxtrax usage.
The 3.0 has not had nearly enough exposure to form any opinion on emissions reliability or any reliability metric in the wild and the fact you have to yank the engine at 150K to change an oil belt is a complete non starter for anyone except short term owners.
The 3.0 has delightful power...
What you said isn't untrue but it's still funny that the tow rating is the same for a 20 year old 4 banger Taco using the bumper ball. ? It still seems like the tow rating of the Bronco should be 4500-5000 at least for the 4 door auto. Sooooo many things can tow that amount that are not anything...
For awhile it was insane how many tow ratings there were. Manual vs Auto 2.3, vs 3.0 vs 4.0. There was that period where some 2.3s got those fiberglass mono leafs in the rear that were rated hilariously low. Just stepping on the bumper hard on that model would bottom the suspension out lol. It...
The workmanship skill and thought process as always is impressive. I just don't get how one drive on a silty or muddy road doesn't ruin this thing though.
Because that won't change the cool GVWR sticker on the vehicle or the GCVWR in the manual and if the limitation is thermal load related and not chassis related those things are not going to help you at all.
Well I am super happy with 235/85/16 but I still regeared or it would have been a dog. Before I screwed up the aero with further mods I actually picked up 2 MPG going to skinny 32s and 4:56.
It's a tough choice. Toyotas auto trans gearing is horrificly bad even stock. They just don't work well...
I used some of this for a 2002 Tacoma and it matched fine FWIW.

Not to be an ass but why wait 5 years to do something about it? The time to re-gear was 5 years ago.
The way I see it it is strictly about money. Re-gearing would be beneficial no matter what size tires you run so re-gearing for the bigger tires is moot. But if you don't want to spend the...
