I stopped going to National Parks in the early 2000's. I can't even imagine what they are like now. BLM land is 1000 times better to me since I am not much of a hiker. I think you can still have a good experience over night hiking but doing anything other than just passing through is not worth...
I went exploring near the lake town of Valle De Bravo. I nearly get stuck 4 minutes into the video. Found a great campsite at the end of the day though so it was worth it.
YT vid.
Yeah at full height it probably has 100 points at the same clearance that most vehicles have maybe 3 or 4 points and as a bonus has very little down travel too. Completely missing the point.
This made me literally make a sort of surprised elated sound after reading it. Sooooo many people don't understand this and spout off breakover and clearance specs with no concept of this.
I use a combo of the E32 map on a Garmin Nuvi which is a downloaded add on map for purchase (http://cartografiagps.com/en/") GAIA for Android and the open topo and sat view layers, and good old Google maps and Google sat and terrain view.
E32 has some off road routes labeled in it and has...
Yeah no possible reason someone wouldn't to store large quantities of flammable liquids for no reason other than a disaster prep fantasy.
Your statement is ridiculous
Doesn't really seem to be much out there. Decked could work but they don't make it for any older vehicles and it seems to waste a lot of space in front of the wheel wells. The metal commercial solutions weigh ludricous amounts and this is going in a regular cab 1st Gen Taco so weight is...
Mine in developing hols in the awning near where the legs clip. The first one was always there and I thought it was from shipping damage. Now I have probably 4-5 holes. I don't know if I got debris in there from the legs, or if it's abrasion while driving, or something going on from constantly...
None of that is muck or abrasive and I have had snatch blocks forgotten and put away wet full of mud seized that were taken apart and cleaned and put back into service. Some are over 20 years old. Whatever man...
Nothing wrong with new products and new ideas but wild eyed zealotry about...
Nearly forever.
Potentially very quick with ANY damage to the pulley.
This is nothing like the concept of synthetic winch to me which had pretty clear use cases.
Innovate our sport? The sport of Overlanding? ...No.
If only someone would say "yes my MaxTraxs were worth it because these other 4 devices that cost 1/2 to 1/4 as much did not work at all". Saying they worked to get you unstuck justifies them in a binary world where the only two options are nothing and MaxTrax.
I'm genuinely interested. If...
I just don't get why you would even want to go down this path. I'd love to see that caked with abrasive muck and see how 'unharmed' the soft shackle would be after.
It also seems like debris could score the inside of something as soft as aluminum and very quickly damage the soft shackle.
Also...
Another day exploring. I just realized I live so close to the trails I aired my tires down a month ago and have not had to air up yet. I could get used to this!

No I have been checking for that.
It looks like it might have just been the cap. I bought a new cap. I fast idled it to 180-190 degrees for 20 minutes then turned it off and let it heat soak up to 207. Right away I can tell the hose is firmer. There is not even a small noise from the cap area...
That could be. I'm still confused why lifting the line out of the coolant reservoir makes the gurgling stop instantly. There doesn't seem to be enough head pressure in the coolant itself to make a difference. Maybe it is just a coincidence and moving the hose is causing the cap to vent...
So a few times after long uphill climbs in 4lo I have heard a gurgle noise when I shut the engine off. I thought it was just the HVAC but recently I had the A/C off and I went poking around and realized it was coming from the upper rad hose exiting the head.
So in this case I was climbing from...
