This is what I started using in June. I don't like that you "rent" the software instead of buying it these days but it's a good product and the full Suite has a lot of other good programs that I utilize too.
Put the annex on today just to see how it all fit together. This will stay in the drawer unless I'm going to be in the same spot for a couple of days. Too much of a PITA to do by yourself (although I did).
Looks like a good product but they really need to update their website. Here's their "About Us" page:
About UsCOMPANY NAME has been delivering results since we opened in YEAR. Our goal is to provide both a superior customer experience and tremendous value for our customers.
OWNER NAME has over...
cdthiker, I'm planning on doing the ID Back Country Discovery Route next summer if you'd like to jump in for a section. Probably be mid-July so hopefully no fires like this year. My dad lives just outside of Grangeville so will be stopping there for a couple of days before hitting the Magruder...
I got the house battery installed today. I want to again emphasize that this is a temporary arrangement just to get me through the Big Bend trip in 2 weeks and will change once I get a permanent dual battery setup. I decided to go with just 2 LEDs for now and have them both tied into 1 fuse so...
I haven't gotten a fridge/freezer yet (although I looked at several yesterday at an Overlanding event here in TX) I do have a second battery setup for the back of my Titan. What I'm doing now, since I don't have a dual battery set up yet, is running stuff through a Blue Sea fuse block screwed...
My new shadow. His mother was a Red Heeler and his father an Australian Shepard. I would have preferred more of the ACD markings of a Heeler but he was a rescue so not much choice in the matter.
When my rtt came in there was some forklift damage to the bottom deck. Gordigear offered to replace the tent with no issues but I really wanted to have it for our Big Bend trip in 2 weeks so told them I could live with the damage. There's a small hole where the deck tore but I can caulk that...
Got the double D buckles replaced today. I had some 2 piece buckles from a couple of damaged military ruck sacks. Should be plenty strong enough for holding the travel cover down.
I got the bed rack and RTT mounted this weekend. I've bought some ratcheting tie-down straps to make the upgrades like several people have done and will probably get to that tomorrow but the 1st thing we did was add some wood spacers between the tent mounting rails and the rack tubes to spread...
Luckily I have a friend that is a great welder and pretty good at fabrication work. We built an aluminum tube rack for my Titan. We used the tie-down brackets for clamping points to connect it to the bed. Rack by itself weighs about 20-25 pounds and the tent is about 140 (although when we...
Nice now that it’s on. We’re going to wait until after the Big Bend trip to finish the rack. That way we can make adjustments and finalize the setup. Too late tonight to take it on a shakedown cruise to see how the truck handles but will do that first thing in the morning. Total rack weight came...
I put a military surplus unit in the truck. All the parts are new I just had to hunt eBay and Steel Soldiers to piece it all together. However it's not like having car AC. It'll put out about 55° at the vent but the cab will never get below about 85°. That beats 95°+ and keeps it at least...
Here's a look at the rack mocked up before welding.
I also spent the night in the tent (on the ground) just to get a feel for it and try out my house battery. It dropped from 12.66v to 12.55v running the fan from 10pm to 6am so shouldn't have any issue with charging during the day. I haven't...
Okay I got some of the pics resized. The aluminum angle is the basis for the bed rack. The arches will be welded on tomorrow and I'll get some better pics of the whole set up. We cut out spots for the tiedown brackets to go through so that's what will secure the rack to the bed itself.
