    National Luna Weekender 52L

Sorry for the delay, I posted your pics in the wrong thread that can be found here . I do use the NL mounting plate in the JeepKitchen. Must have had a little "too much drinkey" that night. :)

Fold Out VS. Flat RTTs - Your Experience and Opinion

Welcome. But, I'm in Montana. "Performing in warm weather" only applies to 6 months of the year around here (if you are "hardcore"). It looks like you are in CA. I didn't notice your locale earlier. Might be a good idea to research an RTT with good ventilation properties. A folding, canvas tent...

Fold Out VS. Flat RTTs - Your Experience and Opinion

I have a "flat" one and a folding one. My folding tent doesn't bend the mattress in the middle, but it is much the same as the ones that do. You might want to consider the type of camping you want to do. If you want to head out for a night, and come back in the morning, the hardshell is much...

Temperature readout on National Luna Weekender 50 fridge

Interesting. I didn't see it in the manual either. If you happen to figure out how to change it to FH, I'd love to know.

    National Luna Weekender 52L

No pictures at the moment, but I'm taking that rig out tomorrow night and will snap some pics for you. When I was shopping for the 52 it was hard to get an idea of the baskets, etc. There aren't many pictures on the web.

    National Luna Weekender 52L

No sir, The 52L Weekender is fridge/freezer only. There is one temperature control on the unit for the fridge. The cooling system is configured to keep the freezer 10 degrees cooler than fridge. I suppose you could set the fridge high enough to bring the freezer above 0 degrees Celsius though...

    National Luna Weekender 52L

I have had a NL 52 fridge/freezer for four or five months, and it's awesome. Money well spent (if it lasts for a number of years). To be honest, the only thing I've used the freezer for is to haul around the same bag of ice for months. It's nice to know I CAN haul frozen food, but haven't found...

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

I took them out for the first time yesterday afternoon with some folks to find some snow on the logging roads. I was completely amazed at the difference. Moved me from 5th in line to 2nd in line. :) The guy with beadlocks and 37s was still breaking trail. All in (for used gear) I spent about...

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

Beadlocks Then I found a guy on CL that had eight AEV Pintler beadlocks for sale. I bough them too and picked up 5 almost-new KM2 35s. After mounting them myself I changed the wheels out today: It was a heck of a lot of work. 5 wheels/tires took 6 hours to mount, but no leaks so far. Got...

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

Lift I got sidetracked after going on a wheeling trip with a guy that had AEV deadlocks. CL had a slightly used AEV 2.5 DS lift for sale, so I bought it. Didn't take many photos during the install, but here they are: Halfway done: and done: I gained about 3 inches, close as I can tell...

Eezi-Awn or Alu-Cab 270 degree awning and why?

You happen to have any pictures of the Alucab mounts on your Slimeline II? I'd love to see it all assembled (from a little further back that Rin's picture).

Eezi-Awn or Alu-Cab 270 degree awning and why?

Hmmm, those aren't homely at all. The picture I saw was of a bracket laying on a bench. :)

    RTT Electric Fan Vent?

Another vote for the Fan-Tastic Fan. I've been using one for years in multiple RTTs. When using a Propex heater, I find that putting the fan in front of your supply duct keeps the entire RTT an even temperature. And, you have an even drone of noise all night long, instead of waking up each time...

Eezi-Awn or Alu-Cab 270 degree awning and why?

Rin at OK4WD told me that they usually stock brackets (made by Alu-Cab) for the Shadow Awning & SlimLine II racks (which I have). I'm leaning towards the Alu-Cab + brackets at this point. The brackets are a little ugly to me, but they look solid.

Eezi-Awn or Alu-Cab 270 degree awning and why?

Me too. I'm torn between the Eezi-Awn Bat and the Alu-Cab Shadow for a JK. It looks like the Alu-Cab has more coverage over the rear for cooking on a drawer slide in bad weather, and has less legs to set up. Any chance that anyone has tried both?

    drawer/storage system for Jeep Wrangler

I cut out the rear seat mounts and seatbelt posts, then made a 3/4 thick Plywood plate to fit the shape of the "flat" part of the floor. It's a tight fit and will not slide around. I then used two bolts through the floor of the jeep to secure it down. It has worked out so far, but we will see...
