Assuming the WP on the bottom is from your current engine, there may have been a mid model year engineering change that changed the mounting pattern.
Scanning thru the photos on RA, looks like they show both styles for the 2000MY depending on supplier of the pump.
Looks like its time to grab...
I'll agree with normal_dave - the Gen 3 diesel 3.2l would have a very nice spot in my driveway...
If you are looking for a 25 year rule vehicle, grab an early Gen 2 - 2 door (SWB) with a 4D56t and bring that back. Would be unique in USA.
You won't for the most part find any engine parts for...
I have an Edgestar 43 (Whytner is the same) its quiet and works great. Lots cheaper (like 1/2 the cost or more) than an ARB 47 (I've owned one in the past - no issues with it) or an Engle.
Aisin is the OEM for the Waterpump and Tensioner, Koyo for the Bearing(s). OEM belt is Gates. Mitsuboshi (not Mitsubishi) as shown in the RockAuto listing is the OEM for Toyota. I'd be comfortable using this kit on my vehicle. I plan to order this same kit later this summer.
Do I understand correctly? 5 Watt panel? That will get you 0.3 amps/hr .... Useless for this application even with 10 gage wiring.
For example: If you get 8 hours of good quality sun (unlikely this much thou) with your setup, then you will add 2.4 amps back to your battery each day...
That would be a good swap. Assume the '93 is an SR? Locker from the '98 could be swapped, but ring gear size is different so you would need to source a rear 4.9 set from a 3.5l Sport. Whole thing is a lot of work so assume you have a lot of spare time & skills to do it yourself... or for sure...
My 4D56 uses the injection pump to suck fuel from the tank. No other fuel pump. Make sure there are no leaks (even tiny) in you fuel lines and that the fuel filter, water separator etc is clean and free flowing. What's the history of this engine? Did it run correctly a short time ago?
The T-Case does not have electronics... NP242 to keep AWD, depends entirely on where he lives / drives. AWD is nice to have for the 7 snow months where I am on a daily driver.
Check the data plate on your firewall in the engine compartment. My '93 has a V4AW2 transmission... Guessing that the '92 would be the same. The data plate on your '91 probably says AW372L or KM148. They are not exactly the same as the V4AW2, but may swap pretty easily. You may need to swap...
