I'm surprised you needed to raise the body this much from the frame and shift the engine back. Which transmission did you use? A V5MT1? My "old" '92 has one and there is no body lift from the factory. In other parts of the world, the Gen 2.5 had these transmissions from the factory as well...

I've got 235/85R16s on my Gen 3 - don't think I'd repeat. Wish I could find 255/85R16 in an AT - I think that would be great. Maybe will look at Ko2 34x10.5R17 next. I have both 16" and 17" wheels for this truck.

I've done both Gen 1 and Gen 2 a few times. You will pretty much need to pull the driver side CV shaft out (separate ball joint(s)) Passenger side CV bolts to the jack shaft so you can unbolt there w/o un-doing ball joints.
