30 minutes and slightly more cargo space in your WJ

I did it by myself in my ZJ once. Never again. But I'm 6'5". A more average height person should be able to do it easily. The big issue is you take up all your cargo space with sleeping space, so you gotta find something to do with your gear.

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Do you use the CO2 tank in the horizontal position like that? I was under the impression that was bad for the seals and such in the regulators.

Do I need to plug in during cold weather?

A couple years ago my truck sat outside for a week at the airport. It was one of the coldest weeks we've ever had in Denver, dunno if it ever got above like 20* while we were gone. It was in the single digits when we got back. I let the glow plugs do their thing, and it fired up.

Do I need to plug in during cold weather?

I really only plug my 7.3 in when it's gonna get below 10*F. It's not thrilled about starting sometimes, but the only time it failed me is a couple weeks ago when it hit -20 overnight and the fuel gelled up on me a bit.

    my rig(s)

Here's my ZJ. Originally had it going down the road of dedicated trailer queen and was building towards the upper end of rock crawling. The hard stuff is still fun, but I really enjoy the exploration aspect of where a vehicle like this can take me, so some things have been getting changed to...

    Extracting Cars from Snow

Yup. If there's no good recovery point I'll help push, but I'm not hooking up my truck. 2 years ago we got a couple big storms back to back, and there were waaaay too many people out on the roads that shouldn't have been, not only because their car wasn't adequate, but they had no proper tow...

    SPOT Global Messenger

Has anybody come up with a way to specify what type of help is needed? I.E. medical help, vehicle help, etc? We have a large event in Moab every year with 4-5 groups in various parts of the area, and as many of you know cell service is only reliable in town, and even then it's sketch at best...

My ZJ 95 Build in progress

As well as the yoke on the front axle, unless you get one of those adapters, but they seem pretty cheesy.

Would you buy a WJ with blown 4.7?

I don't see any benefit to the WJ over your current XJ. In my opinion, the WJ is one of the nicest vehicles Jeep has ever put out though. We currently have 2 ZJ's (both far from stock) and an F250 tow rig, and I've contemplated an 03ish V8 Laredo as a DD at some point. I would also spend some...

    Found an M416 + noob = trouble...

Look at the Lock N Roll setup for the coupler. And I would imagine the axle under there currently is in need of some decent repairs, so replacing it with one that matches the bolt patter on your rig is a very good idea. If you can get tires and wheels to match, even better.

    Stumptacos Home-made Camp Kitchen

Have you taken this thing out and used it yet? I'm LOVING the concept, but having the unit rest on the leg assemblies while in the rig would be a concern for me. If it's a valid concern, it could easily be overcome by building a small skirt around the base of the unit so that it rest on the...

Front CV Axles for a rubicon.

Yeah, I got what ya meant, just wanted to make sure people knew that they didn't have go crazy to get upgraded shafts/joints.

My ZJ 95 Build in progress

One thing to look out for is your front driveshaft. You eliminated one major weak point by changing out your t-case, but you may still have one at the driveshaft. Most V8 ZJ's do not come with your regular u-jointed driveshaft but instead a CV setup where the slip of the shaft is part of the...

Front CV Axles for a rubicon.

And even if your 260 u-joints aren't enough you can grab some 297 shafts out of a TJ and you'll be good to go. I run them in a HP30 in a V8 ZJ on 35's and they've been holding up just fine.

    Trailer Nose Box Suggestions

I believe the gel cells (Optima, et al) don't need to be vented, can't say with 100% certainty though.
