What multi axis hitch do you prefer?

I think the vid really helps. From the pics it's not entirely clear how the trailer would turn behind the vehicle. Are there any bearings or anything there?

AEV JK suspension testing photo from today!

It's a Jeep not a race car! Oh wait, wrong board. Hi Cole.

    Kitchen Kit/Chuck Box

That certainly is an intriguing option there. Anybody have any real world experience with these and how durable they are?

    Ignitions

I haven't seen his name mentioned on here before, but Kolak has always been the guy for ignition upgrades on the V8 ZJ's since the early days of JU, NAGCA, MallCrawlin, etc. I believe his email is still kolak@aol.com. If you search any of the boards with a big ZJ crowd on them, you will find...

    Project Grand Expedition

Sounds like a good plan to me. The LCA skids to me were more about strengthening the mount there than actually acting as a skid plate. I had one of the OEM control brackets taco on my stock LP30 a few years back, not fun.

    Project Grand Expedition

For 32's and the kind of wheeling you should be doing with 32's, the 44A will be just fine. My wife runs 32's on her ZJ with the aforementioned 44A as well as an Aussie Locker. She bent a shaft trying to keep up with me on 35's, but other than that it's been a great axle for her.

    Project Grand Expedition

Huh, I wheel with a LOT of ZJ's and WJ's with the 44A (wife has one too) and have never seen one fail due to an issue with a bearing cap. I've only seen a very small handful of occasions I would even consider a failure. I think I can count 2 snapped shafts, and a couple other bent ones. Would...

    Big Dave's M416 Build

Took it for a test drive around the block today. Did pretty good.

    Big Dave's M416 Build

Crawled around it a little bit yesterday as the wife and I were discussing our plans for it. Drain plugs are there and functioning, but apparently one of the PO's didn't notice that as there's a few holes drilled in the tub. Nothing a little welding wire can't fix. The frame is in GREAT...

    Big Dave's M416 Build

Thanks for the link Martyn! VERY helpful as I do plan on doing that and will most likely stick with the original frame.

    Big Dave's M416 Build

Big Dave's M416 Build (stage 1 done, w/ pics) Well, I did it. Wasn't really planning on it, but found this rust bucket on CraigsList for $350. Everything's straight and relatively unmolested as best I can tell. Fair amount of rust up top, but looked very solid underneath. May have to patch a...

    M416 new axle with brakes?

That's been my thought as well. I would use the Tekonsha Prodigy I have in my F250 in the Jeep to control the trailer brakes, and can see the manual lever coming in handy quite often given the difficult of terrain I would be taking the trailer on.

    M416 vs M101 vs ????

Found a trailer for sale on CL locally, very vague description but based on price I doubt it's an M416, but something along those lines. I'm hoping to go look at it tonight after work since the price is definitely right as long as it isn't a rust bucket. I don't have any set plans for a...

    M416 Build

That freaking rules. Amazing attention to detail and you've got an awesome trailer that you should be extremely proud of. Well done sir!

Quick Fists to hold axle/drive shafts??

While all that is true, almost anything has got to be better than leaving them loose under the backseat like they are now.

Quick Fists to hold axle/drive shafts??

Snagger, those are the exact reasons I want to try and use the Quick Fists. The hose clamps may work as well, but certainly are not as quick and easy as the QF's would be. If I had them on vertical wall as opposed to a horizontal floor, I'd be MUCH more concerned about it too, but I'm...

Quick Fists to hold axle/drive shafts??

The shafts would still be contained inside the steel box too, so I'm not too worried about them becoming projectiles. The box in the pics above was built a bit overkill with 1/8" plate, I probably won't go that thick, but it won't be much thinner either. It's also a very rare thing for my Jeep...

Quick Fists to hold axle/drive shafts??

Anybody tried this? The majority of my wheeling time is spent on trails where breakage can and will happen and I was thinking Quick Fists could help me keep my spare shafts from flying around all over the place. I currently keep my spare shaft stuffed kinda under the backseat in my ZJ, but...

    KM2 Review

I've been equally impressed with my 35 KM2's. My ZJ is normally a trailer queen, but I've had it up to 75mph on the highway and it smoother than it has in a LOOOOONG time. Can't wait to get these out on the trail.
