    Post Pic's of your Jeep

i can tell you from first hand experience that Number 7 is a great climber, the 4 cylinder light weight thing and great articulation make it quite a little mountain goat... just don't get behind him on the freeway :smiley_drive: :Wow1: ;) ;) ;)

    grand cherokee??

pretty vague there... perhaps you're referring to the failure of the viscous coupler in the first gen grands (ZJ's) with AWD (the np249 transfer case)? other than that, there is no specific issue i'm aware of. The limited slips in the quadra-drive versions are great as long as you don't go over...

Best invention ever since sliced bread?

i'd much rather have this from costco (or the original jumping jack): http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11542626 but very neat idea, maybe someone here will build an "expo" worthy one of their own.

    Jeeps in Camper mode

tent-cot has lots of little drawbacks, but for new-place-every-night type camping, the ease of setup/teardown wins out over any drawback. if i'm camping more than one night anywhere, i'd rather have a real tent and a cot. i recommend a weatherproof duffel to go with it, because there's really...

WJ Owners: What do you dream of owning

the TNT kit for the XJ is nice, it's what i always wanted to put on my XJ, if they ever make a WJ kit, i'm sure it will be real competition for claytons. here's a pic that does illustrate what you're saying, if things where designed completely different, they might could mount about 1.5" higher...

WJ Owners: What do you dream of owning

i have no idea what anyone is referring to with the long arm 'hanging down low", the front arms attach at the tranny crossmember on the "frame" side and at the stock mounting locations on the axle side... the same as nearly every long-arm kit for xj/zj/wj? some companies like IRO do make "bent"...

WJ Owners: What do you dream of owning

love my WJ! only thing i've always dreamed of was putting on 35's and JK Rubicon axles - which should be happening with a month or 2 at most, yay! that said, the only vehicle I would trade for would be a 2011 4 Door JK Rubicon with the AEV Premium JK HEMI V8 Conversion. And since that's never...

    Jeeps in Camper mode

when it's just me, this is the majority of what i take: That's a tent-cot, weatherproof clothes bag (with clothes, toiletries, towel, etc), pillow, sleeping bag. not shown would be: small kitchen set with the essentials and a MSR reactor cooking system, 2.5 gallon scepter water container, a...

mods you wouldnt do again ...

i did an AEM dryflow filter and custom intake tubing, then went back to stock airbox. reason i went back and wouldn't do that again - laziness! i found that i was never getting around to taking the AEM filter off every oil change and washing it, so i was probably actually getting worse...

Understanding the Check Engine Light (MIL, CEL, OBD-II, OBD2) (1996 and newer rigs)

I did a little article on the basics of OBD-II (the system behind that pesky Check Engine Light) and wanted to share it here: http://www.offroadpassport.com/forum/showthread.php?t=686 Along with proper tools and spare parts; I think knowing how to pull codes on your particular rig and what they...
