    1x1_Speed_Craig's utility/camping trailer build_v2.0

Big progress this week! I got the tongue bracket completed, and got my tongue box mounted, too. I am VERY happy with the way the tongue bracket turned out. I started by trimming about 1 1/2" (guess) off the end of each tongue frame rail, and then trimmed an AT tongue mount to fit. I also cut...

M101A3 military trailer parts & Firestone air bags/AT parts

I wasn't sure if this should go in the Trailers section, or expedition parts, but since they're trailer parts, they ended up here... I am in the process of modifying my M101A3 3/4-ton military trailer to better suit my needs. I have pulled the following parts, which I no longer need. Photos...

    Major Drool: Factor 001

I see more marketing and non-standard parts considerations than anything else, but that's just me. BTW, I wouldn't be opposed to discs on a road bike, especially if you do all-weather riding (I'm more of a fair weather biker, myself). I'll stick with my fixxie and SS. Simplicity and...

    JCR Tire Carrier

JCR is semi-local to me (an hour away), and I have bought a couple things from them over the years, and have also had them do custom work for me. I visited their shop about 4 months ago to pick up some used Ravine wheels, and Brian and Daryl gave me the grand tour. Great guys! I have never...

Any CJ-8 Overlanders or postals ?

Wow, your Jeep is dirty, Jeff. Get it together, man! :sombrero: The top looks great. Is there plenty of rear support at the rear corners of the top to drive regularly like that? Craig

AT trailer tongue bracket & 2" receiver

As of Casper's post above, probably not. Josh - Yes, I have a PayPal account (craig.emenaker AT gmail D0T com). I can swing by the post office later this week, pick up a flat-rate USPS box, and get it ready to ship. BTW, I just welded a longer receiver into another AT tongue bracket, which...

Nice work. I will say that it makes me cringe seeing you weld in t-shirts & shorts, though! :Wow1: Craig

Uh-Oh... another newbie with a LJ (and a limited budget)

Congrats on the LJ. I have an '05, as well, and love it. At age 39, it's the first new vehicle I ever purchased. I'm just now starting to do some upgrades & enhancements...31" BFG KM2s and a budget boost were the first. A HP Dana 30 front axle will be coming a little down the road. It...

AT trailer tongue bracket & 2" receiver

Hi Josh, The plate is 3/16" thick. The receiver length is 10", and the mounting plate is ~6" front-to-back. I'll get you more accurate measurements and weight this weekend (I'm in the middle of moving this week), and we can derive a shipping estimate from there. More to come soon... EDIT...

    Homebrew Jeep Modifications(DIY)

Semi-related... trust - Is that the Hi-Lift Slide-N-Lock track? How do you like it? I'm looking at that for my M101A3 trailer, but will probably be mounting it to the floor instead of the bed side rail. Craig

    Replaceable shock mount sources?

Thanks. That's one option, but it looks like it's only availble for 2 7/8" axle tubes (1/2" bigger than my 3500-lb. axle), and with the same 5/8" stud that I already have. Craig

    Replaceable shock mount sources?

Great idea, elmo. I already talked with my buddy at Napa, and just have to get some dimensions to work with. New bushings with a smaller hole or a sleeve/insert would both be viable options. Thank you! Craig

    Replaceable shock mount sources?

I need to make some lower shock mounts for my M101A3 trailer, for which I've swapped in a standard 3500-lb. trailer axle. I have a couple Chevy shock mounts similar to the attached photo, but the stud diameter (OD) is too small for the military shocks. The shocks have what appears to be a 3/4"...

I think I just scored at the junkyard, have a couple questions.

$125-150, IMO. I have sold a handful of these over the years (from vehicles I parted out), and I'm buying one (also from a '98) for $125 next week. Yours is a '98, too, which has the bigger U-joints...a good thing when selling. Just my $0.02. Craig
