This is the tent I had (sold a couple weeks ago). Impressive build quality. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I every went back to a RTT. And BTW - I would never buy a RTT without an annex, or the roof flap overhang like this style.

Biggest issue about having them longer than the base is getting access to the zipper when opening or closing the main cover and if you have an awning or removing the cover entirely is getting the sail strip into and out of the groove. I have a brand new in box set of rails at full length if...

Super nice! Pretty sure somebody creative could fab up a base to mount these in place of the rear bench in a SWB Gen 1 also - they would be a much nicer seat than the original Gen 1 equipment.

can't ya move the tent mount rails 90 degrees on a whim? Its 4 bolts if I remember correctly on mine. 10 minutes and that includes a coffee break.

This past week most of the aluminum arrived. Bender will get it this coming week. Gore-Tex and all the other "cloth" arrived, gas struts arrived, AC/DC Tig machine ordered - but won't arrive until late May. That is probably good timing. I have a bunch of travel (work and a wedding) in May so...
