EDIT** They changed the price on...
Ive never heard of them but they look decent. I cant find a price and thats one of my biggest pet peeves. How can you advertise something and not list a price. I not going to go out of my way to call and find out if its not even in my price range. If they cost close to the price of a arb then...
Im willing to bet its the wiring. When I first got mine I had the same problem it would just stop working. everything seemed fine but it didnt work. Some times the low voltage light would show even though I was at like 11.7 volts. After multiple people telling me to run new wire I ran a 6gauge...
Yea The fridge has no problem handleing the heat but just remember when its closed up in the car with those temps it will most likely be running non stop to keep the heat out of the fridge using more power than normal. I do see a drop in voltage on the hotter days but the fridge keeps cool. 1...
Ill repeat what have said and add a few things. Air mattress are no good unless they are backpacking ones with down or some loft in it. Dont skimp on a sleeping bags or you will regret it. If you are using your cheap colmen bah bring extra blankets for sleeping on and covering with. I know who...
Time to get your Ham radio license and get yourself a nice radio for communication :). Ive been hours from any town or cell service but can always reach a radio repeater.
If you have thew cash go with a ARB but if your like the rest of us you cant beat the edgestar route. Ive had mine for 1 year and it lives in the 4runner. once you fix a few small things it seems bullet proof. I paid $380 shipped a comparable arb would cost over $800 i think.
Idk about...
For me if the ARB, engle or other didnt cost twice as much, Id might be more willing. I can say they are not twice as good as my edgestar. True they are prob better but not $400 better. I paid $380 shipped to my door. An ARB would cost over $800 with shipping.
Also I have heard many stories of...
Maybe we have diff models, Mine just looks a little different inside i guess. though u were missing a copper tube or something. The motor makes a humming vibrate noise when its on.
Holy crap. Id get a picture of one complete and talk to a fridge mechanic. I sure all refrigerators are very similar maybe they can figure something out. Ill try and get you a picture tomorrow.
x2, on best thing ive bought. I setup 2 yellow tops
in my 4runner and just leave the fridge on 24/7. As long as I drive every day or 2 its fine. after a few days it auto shuts off but still leaves me with enough to start the car back up and recharge the batteries.
Yea mine does that as well. I believe the motors are attached by bungee like cords allowing moment and flexibility since they are used in cars. I think that clunk is just the motor moving around on the bungees. mines almost a year old and its taken its fair share of abuse and its still working...
Very cool but any price over $200 id be considering an edgestar fridge unless power would be a problem.
I wonder how they compare insulati
on wise to a 5 day colman chest?

So I broke one of my fridge hinges. I had a bunch of wood loaded up next to it and I think a heavy piece put to much pressure on the lid. Anyone have any ideas for replacing?
Just remember hitting the set button twice will set it to -1, I had that problem in the begging. just make sure u only hit it once and wait till it starts blinking then use arrows and dont touch anything.
It would be really nice if you could change the hitting set twice to any temp u wanted...
