Kodiak Truck Tent on a Toyota Tacoma?

I spoke on teh phone to the guy who runs Kodiak. He was very helpful. I was looking for a truck tent that would fit my Bantam trailer. Once he understood what io was talking about, without hesitation, he said he did not thinnk it would work. At issue was the mounting system and the fact that...

This is my suspicion as well and a big part of the decision. I have had this jeep since it had only 24K miles on it... one of the "newest vehicles" I have ever had. I know every scratch, dent, etc... they are mine. Stupid I know.

    Gear and Locker Question

If you are in the triangle area you should swing by East Coast Gear Supply and talk with them. They are also a great place to get the work done if you are not going to tackle it yourself. Personally I would pay to have the gears done and have them install a Detroit in the rear at the same time.

Well, it is official... I am keeping the Jeep. Put the Suburban up for sale earlier today. I can justify it any way I want but the truth is the jeep is the one vehicle I have ever had that I did not compromise on in the purchase... it is exactly what I want and I cannot let it go at this time.

Yes. Leaning hard towards the jeep at the moment. I can list all kinds of reasons, but bottom line for me at this point is that I just like it better.

    1991 Suburban 2500

Thanks Justcuz. Have to admit I am back on the fence about Jeep vs. Burb. Can't shake it. Need to find a spare pile of cash laying around so I can keep both. When I drive the jeep I am all in. When I drive the Burb, I am all in. MAybe I put them BOTH up for sale and see what sells first...

    1991 Suburban 2500

Thanks for checking in Justcuz. The Burb did great on the trails. I think the rear locker made a great difference. I had no issues... although there were also few issues from other vehicles. I did not do anything that I did not think the jeep would have had any trouble with. The points I...

Martin you are righ ton in your post. We have a Rockwood Pop Up that we use regularly. Last Summer we found that it was indeed too much of a PIA to consistently put up and take down. I also have a bantam trailer that I throw a Napier truck tent in when out on my own. This past weekend opened...
