I installed my Espar D4 2.5 years ago and not a hint of trouble. It gets used any time the weather is below 65 deg= it gets a lot of run time.

Seems almost like you might not need to charge from vehicle to trailer...
What I mean is if you have done the math on the power consumption, the trailer's solar should be able to keep the battery bank full and healthy.

Solar is a great addition, even if it's only job is to keep the batteries topped off when away. But in your case, 200 w would be the min I'd bother with. It is a worthy investment.
Just be sure to get a mppt controller much bigger then your current needs, so in the future you could add more...
