My blue sea 7622 is connected to the frame mounted battery then to the house batteries. 0 issues and a very short length wiring.

Don't forget to consider the power consumption factor...

My Engel MT45 has been running for over two years, zero issues on my 12v solar system. I have it set to 36deg... Mostly located in hot, sweaty and humid FL but I do travel to all sorts of climates around the country. (Unplugged for cleaning) I wouldn't hesitate to run your's as you want.
