Livin' Lite Quicksilver series, feedback welcome

I watched a setup and breakdown video and thought that the amount of snapping and unsnapping things looked like pretty poor / lazy design. It would probably frustrate me. They seem pretty light and simple though.

    Opus OP-15

B&B in Denver has quite a few campers that are of more interest to the folks on this site than your average RV dealer. Last fall I was there and they had the Opus, Into The Wild - Boreas, Crux, Taxa, Intech (I think) and i saw a Black Series that was there for service, not sure if they carry them.

Why not in USA? Australian Style Folding Camper Trailers - Front, Rear, Side folding - Hard floor, Soft Floor

Wow, this might be the best design i've seen (I mean to suit my own needs, of course). http://campertrailerreview.com.au/cub-campers-longreach-le-review/

Why not in USA? Australian Style Folding Camper Trailers - Front, Rear, Side folding - Hard floor, Soft Floor

Interesting feedback. I'm very used to camping during the summer in the northwest and it hardly ever rains, not for long anyway, and we don't need AC. Tent trailers (american style) are quite common here, but i see why they wouldn't be ideal in your region. Suburbanjo: Ok, perhaps it's doable...

Crux 2700 vs Black Series Dominator

I think this is in the wrong forum though (Popup Truck Campers), i'd think it should be in the "Expedition Trailers" section. You may get more feedback there.

Crux 2700 vs Black Series Dominator

I think the crux have just hit the ground in North America. I'm curious about them too. I think i like the forward folding type of camper, though i've never used one. I wonder if the same model has been sold already in Australia or elsewhere under a different label.

    flip-back build

phew, just went through the whole thread. I'm really impressed at the jump in quality from the first tent to the second, nice work! If you were doing it again, would you still use waterproof fabric, or use something more breathable? (or a mix?)

Why not in USA? Australian Style Folding Camper Trailers - Front, Rear, Side folding - Hard floor, Soft Floor

Yes I'm curious about those issues also. @bearman512 thanks for the heads up on the Viking model. I wasn't aware of that one. I want something like that on top of a cargo/kitchen trailer the way many folks put a rtt on top of the trailer.

    My Backcountry Camper Trailer Build

Great build, thanks for the long term follow up. It's inspiration for me to get serious about my own custom build.

Why not in USA? Australian Style Folding Camper Trailers - Front, Rear, Side folding - Hard floor, Soft Floor

Thanks for the feedback so far. I suppose security could be a part of it, but an awful lot of people camp in tents, right? Maybe once they start paying a lot more for their camping accommodations, they desire more security to come along with the expenditure. I get that, my expectations...

Why not in USA? Australian Style Folding Camper Trailers - Front, Rear, Side folding - Hard floor, Soft Floor

I'm interested in a variety of folding trailer campers and considering building something for myself. I'm curious about others' experiences with folding campers. I really like the quick setup/breakdown of things like the Flip-Pac or AT Habitat toppers, and I love how they flip 180 degrees so...

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

also, you folks running very large gauge wires to the rear: Are you running a large gauge ground also, or just a positive wire and grounding through the frame? Curious as to best practice there. I've used the frame for ground on lower current wires, but don't know if that's still ok if you're...

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

I've got a leak at the d side rear axle seal, getting the park brake all oily. Should i replace both sides since i'm going to be at it, and replace wheel bearings too? 190,000 mi on 01 Yukon. Or are these parts that typically are very long lasting and better left alone as long as they're working?

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

TL;DR: Is it supposed to be the case that the PCV valve just sits loosely in the valve cover with nothing holding it firmly in place? I just picked up a 2001 Yukon with the 5.3, G80 and 3.73 gears. Looking to do some minimal upgrades and use it as a daily driver and camping rig. It's got...

Flippac + Stitch and Glue Camper

Very interesting. I think this is a fantastic little trailer you've built here. I'm surprised how many pop-ups and wedges there are, and how few flip-overs like this. There is (was) the flip-pac, and now AT has their Habitat. I'm hoping to build one similar to yours but larger as an alternative...

Sawtooth Unlimited - Off Road Pop Top Camper Trailer

Subscribing. I'm very interested in building with the composite panels. Did you consider purchasing pre-made panels? Why did you choose to build your own? I've only looked into it a little, looks like maybe they're difficult to source and expensive, eh?

Is there something between a teardrop and a regular caravan?

Great, thanks. your English is good enough that I didn't initially realize that you are German and that I wouldn't be able to source panels from the same place as you. I'll see what I can find near me.

Is there something between a teardrop and a regular caravan?

@Albatross , Where did you source the panels and the extrusion to build the foam box? Looks like an awesome build! Congratulations. do you have a build thread somewhere? Are you happy with it?

2003 Tahoe Build - Family Overland Rig

great thread. Some of the pics aren't working for me though. I'm particularly interested in the ones that are described as showing the attachment of the rock rails to the frame. Any chance you can get those working? Thanks for taking the time to document and share! Also, what is the benefit of...
