    Trailer Dilema

I like the old one. Better suspension and shocks. Looks to be a heavier axle also. If you look at my build thread you can see how using Unistrut can solve all your RTT needs.

    Another off road trailer build

Thanks for the kind words Mike, The Jeep was done with Speedliner and has held up great. The trailer has Line-X on it. Hopefully it works as well.

The tent is here-Now for the goodies

Thanks for the advice. Ended up with a set of 5 of the generic green folding cots from Bass Pro Shops. About 50 bucks each. Seem to work well. Adjustable tension and sturdy construction. No complaints here.

    Deep cycle battery recommendations

Good reply. Laying in bed last night thinking on how 2 6 volters might double the reserve. Forgetting you have to wire them in series to get the 12 volts... Going to Google golf carts and see what voltage most seem to run at and what kind of batteries (brand) they use. Another good idea by Mr...

    Deep cycle battery recommendations

Don, thanks for the advice !! The Die Hard does look good but you have bought up a good question for me. In a starting battery I have always looked at the CCA rating. For the deep cycle and what I want to use it for. Is the reserve time/amps more important then the CCA ? Kinda think it is as...

    Deep cycle battery recommendations

From this thread http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29435 I`ve made a couple decisions. Going to go with a deep cycle stand alone mounted on the trailer tongue. Add a fuse box with several power ports. Also a small charger mounted in the same box for an all in one power...

    Edgestar owners....Mounting ideas ??

Anyone come up with a good way to mount their ES that doesnt use the handles as a tie down ? Hate to add the wear and tear to the handles. A strap across the top would work but everytime you wanted to open it..............Then the chance of clinching the strap to tight and crushing the...

Battery Boosters for running a 12 volt fridge

Good post Grizz. Looked up again and the Edgestar runs @ DC 5.5A/hour. Not sure if these are max cooling numbers where the compressor is running full tilt or not. So a 25 amp/hour booster pack would run about 4 hours at the above stated load. Wonder if the booster could be recharged through...

Battery Boosters for running a 12 volt fridge

The Edgestar showed up the other day. Works good but I think the latches are a bit cheesy. Anyways.....Several folks have talked about using one of those portable jump start boxes`s to provide 12 volts overnight. Instead of a battery. Has anyone done any research on what a good one is and how...

    HD grills Parker. Solaire etc

Found this thread while looking for information on the Parker grill. Which had LOT`s of good information. http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5785 While the thread is a couple years old. It seems that the Solaire was a favorite. I`d like to buy a good HD stainless grill. Is...

Alright-Going to stop playing chilling games

No more coolers, 12 volt Colemans or other BS ways to do it. Edgestar or Engel ? Which do I want ? From whom ? Mostly on 110 but will see 12 volt. Have twin Yellow Tops for the 12 volt usage. Off road durability is a must.

Cheap 110/12volt coolers aka Coleman and such

80`s and 60`s at night ? Will that be considered within the Coleman`s range ?
