Neat!
Post pictures after the event.
This one is interesting to me; want to hear more/see more interior pictures; hmmm action camper conversion for DII (and there are plenty of DIIs here in the USA)
Took the test this morning and passed the Technician test.
Will check the FCC ULS database for my call sign by Tuesday.
In meantime, let me make a ham sandwich and celebrate (smile).
CQ
Had some interest here and there, but no buyer that pulled the trigger.
Actually, it's a good thing; been thinking about it now; it's a special vehicle, and with the "out of touch with the 4x4 community" new design/design concepts coming out of LR", decided to keep it. Not for Sale Anymore...
Congrats Ray.
Going backwards in time is not always a bad thing especially in this case.... With all the LRs I owned so far e.g. 2004 DII... my 1990 Defender 110 w/200 tdi has been the least problematic and simplest to repair.
Post pictures and plans when you get the chance!
I think with a Defender design concept like this in the future; I may just decide to keep the Camel Trophy 110 and just down size other vehicles in my fleet!
Seems we may not see the boxy utilitarian/working vehicle in the past anymore; LR wants to sell more cars built for speed (just check out...
Beau,
Pleasure meeting you; thanks for the comments.
Here's a picture to remember: extra-ordinary vehicle meets extra-ordinary vehicle; hope to see you in the Earthroamer again up in N. Cal for a visit/join a trail run one of these days - and burger on the grill well done w/onions waiting for...
A bit of a drive to from S. Cal, but worth it (East of Fresno) is Camp Edison; you can have lake front view/acess of Shaver Lake infront of your camp (need to plan/reserve way ahead of time to get lake front camp site).
Your wife will appreciate the clean/heat bathrooms w/shower & flushing...
Aloha Mauka2Makai!
Check out the Lost Coast up in Humboldt Country; long drive from Pismo, but worth it IMO when you stay/camp for atleast 2 days. Usal beach is where you can surf!
Pix link from my trip in 09; been back sev times since and enjoy ea visit...
Finally got it detailed, and 360 degree photos taken; nice work by my local detail shop.
Not shown in the photo is the spare tire that goes on the hood (stored in the garage when only traveling in town)
Also Kilometers speedo has been coverted to Miles when newly installed 200 TDI was put in...
Spot on Mighty Dodge Ram, and Christianoffroad.
I changed the tie-rod ends, and center link; good to replace them showing sign of worn-out, but steering to the right a bit persited. Changed the ball joins (upper); turns out to be worn-out. After alignmnet, walla, steering is straight. Thanks!
Good talking to you.
I have to run to work, and will post more pics; one interior shot (more to come), dusty, need detailing, just wanted to show LHD and comes w/repair manual and supplies of spare parts/maint supplies e.g. doz 200 TDI air cleaner. Also in the pic, front wooden panel just...
Very nice CTMike. Enjoying your post and work in progress. If you are looking to add rock sliders, Rovers North has one reasonable priced pair for 110s; about $422; looks OEM (I paid much less a few year ago, but not much less today price considering inflation and price of metal today - IMO...
Lol. Great idea when the weather is like Hawaii, and then it rains.... You have take a photo wearing a rain coat while sleeping on the mattress. Ha! Ha!
Working on modifying the inside of my Dogde Van camper/weekender project.
I have one van seat that I took out, and for sale; spot will be for my ARB fridge.
Seat is of fabric material; reclines, arms rest on both side; steel frame w/4 mounts for bolting unto the floor; and comes w/a seat...
