    Front cam seal removal, help!

You don't need any special tool. Small screw driver, tap it in (outside of the seal not seal surface) and pry out. Simple.

Would you post some pics of the side of the tank where the fuel filler connects to the tank? Maybe also take some measurements to see how much higher the tank could be mounted. I'm working on importing that tank but want more ground clearance so looking at cutting down / reducing the height of...

    Gen 3 debate, 3.5 or 3.8?

Yeah, if you want to look cool... buy something else. However, these trucks flat out go. I've owned solid axle rigs locked, geared on 35-36" tires. Driven the Rubicon and most every trail in Oregon & Washington (we have a lot) and this truck gets it done. I've owned a 91, 92, 95, 00 and now...

honestly how is the montero sport

Really?? I'd take any of the above options over the Trail Blazer (including most Jeeps). That front IFS looks like it was designed for light duty at best. Never seen such a poor / weak design. Dang.

    Gen 3 debate, 3.5 or 3.8?

Let's see.... lots of differences: 1. All 2003+ come with the 5 speed transmission (only the limited 01-02 had that option) 2. You can upgrade to 4.90 gears which is perfect for 33-35" tires (XLS 01-02 already has 4.90s so no upgrade possible) 3. Traction control. No comparison. It's the best...

Gen 3 Timing belt brand & cam seals?

You also need a shop manual for torque specs. Stuff to pay close attention to is the crank bolt torque (you can't just put on with air tools) this needs to be to spec. I torque everything to factory specs. Also, you need this tool for setting the timing belt tensioner properly...

Gen 3 Timing belt brand & cam seals?

20th Anniversary has special wheels, rear door air deflector, special floor mats, interior trim plus all the standard Limited items. I'd buy OEM parts (especially the timing belt & water pump). Other parts to consider replacing: tbelt tensioner, tbelt idler pulleys, crank seal, cam seals...

Gen3 with ARB bull bar install questions

Which bumper model did you buy? There are 2 models. NM & NP. The NM model bumper won't fit the grill correctly and you'll need to notch both outer corners to fit. NP style bumper fits the 03+ Montero (contrary to the ARB website, and their tech support didn't even know). It should allow the...

    BF GOODRICH M/T KM2

You should be fine. You'll have to trim the same amount lifted as stock to fit those tires. Lift doesn't change the suspension travel range. Should just be minor plastic trimming... I was running 255/85s on my truck stock.

Does the tank hang lower than the rear diff? I'm looking to get one soon. Just wish it could be installed a couple inches higher.

They are fully adjustable. http://www.filthymotorsports.com/King_OEM_Montero_Shocks_p/king-25001-264.htm Cost is $2,200 w/o upgrades and you need to buy rear springs. Geared more toward high speed / race type performance. I had Icon 2.5" Resi shocks on my 13 Taco and loved them. So excited...

They were purchased from: Kollar Racing Product Total cost was $530 (front/rear springs) this includes shipping ($400 before shipping). Yes, the montero uses hub centric style wheels and hub assembly. You need to keep the weight and load on the hub not on the wheel studs as that is how it...
