    Teardrop Trailer Build

I have the same question for my teardrop build, as I noticed the 7 pin connect allocates one pin for 12V.

    5VZFE Engine Noise

Bummer on the engine! I'm only 5k from that mark, so you've got me nervous! It seems 3.4's can be had for pretty cheap these days, so shouldn't set you back a ton.

    Max Coupler Dimensions

Could one of the owners post a picture of their max coupler next to a tape measure? I'm trying to find how much metal is behind the rear most hitch pin. I found this guy, but how far it slips into the receiver is what i'm after. Maybe another inch after the pin?

Looking for decent shocks & floor liner mats for my 2000 Tacoma 4X4 extra cab?

Costco has some nice floor mats with super deep channels for collecting debris (~$17 for 4 mats). Huskys are also nice from my experience. Tan, black, and grey I think.

    3rd Gen 4Runner Roof Racks..

You don't have the sunroof correct? I was looking at doing this awhile back, but the new holes to be drilled were super close to the sunroof.

    Passenger wheels on trailer hubs?

I just received my drum brakes that are setup for 6x5.5 and am wanting to run some 05+ Tacoma offroad rims on them (because they are sitting around). One issue is that the wheels are hub centric, I don't see this being a huge problem as it is a lightweight trailer, I'm sure the lugs will center...

    CYi5's '99 4Runner Buildup

It's ok, i'm getting better at not caring as much about outward appearances as I get older ;). No to the lake bed, but it was a road running along the edge of one! The wet road between Ballarat and Mengel Pass.

    CYi5's '99 4Runner Buildup

I get 13 mpg city, 17/18 highway. The stop signs/stop lights paired with the automatic are the real killers. With those numbers, i'm often tempted to switch to something new, 200 miles to a tank sucks.

Best balance of mileage and capability?

Is this a stock 3rd gen? I'm at 13 cty/17-18 hwy on 33's, armor, and regeared to 4.88's.

Traversing difficult terrain with a roof top tent

I've never felt a tippy issue with the RTT on top running trails. One suggestion though, avoid mounting the tent on Yakima/Thule bars. It puts the tent probably close to 5-6" off of the roof and really does a number on drag and catching gusts on the freeway. I built my own crossbars allowing...

    Cheap Fridge <$400 shipped

lol that is a monster fridge. Just finished five days in the Utah desert without any 43qt fridge hiccups. This will be close to three years without an issue; power going straight to the battery with a PriorityStart! LVD in between for safety.

    The Cherokee is back?

Saw six of these at a gas station in Vegas yesterday, all with Michigan manufacturer plates. I have nothing to add besides they look very slip stream for highway cruising. Size was comparable to a 2014 Rav4 and 2014 Volvo XC60 that were also in the posse.

    CYi5's '99 4Runner Buildup

Well if it was only the shocks that were rusted up you could blame them, but you can see what it did to the rest of the chassis too!
