    2016 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71

I also have the factiry bed lighting, under the bed rails. Love it, but wish there were a switch for it in the bed, near the tailgate, right near where they put the power plugs sometimes

Biased...about tires...see what I did there? (Before steel belted radials, tires in the 60's were Bias-Ply)

    2016 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71

Replaced my 6-speed at 175 thousand Mike's and am told I am one of the fortunate ones. Chevy dealer wanted 8 grand. Went mom and pop shop and got it done for 5300.

You state these things are not factual but merely perception, and then someone shows you a fact, and you have to back off your statement then double down on it using other factors not present in the original argument. And nobody is talking about the hybrid vs full electric, you are muddying the...

Well...EV's ARE a lot heavier than thier ICE counterparts. My truck is 5,000 to 5500 pounds. The Chevy SilvErado is over 8 thousand, almost 9. Those are facts man.

2001 GMC Yukon by Suboverland $16,000 (Reduced!) (155k Miles)

I already have my truck, so I'm not trying to say this under false pretenses, but some interior pics might be interesting and eye-catching

Saying it's not true doesn't make it false. You want the cars to sell, so that perception has to change, details, facts or not. I agree people should weigh the pros and cons, and I know there are good use cases. Sorry for your loss. I hope the funeral went well, and good if they didnt need...

Strip mining, which is highly destructive...or a process similar to fracking. That's how they get lithium mined, show me I'm wrong and I will stand corrected. Only they dont call it fracking because that's an evil term associated with oil production. Again, I'm fine with all that, but let's...

Honda is a motor vehicle company. They make more ICE engines than anyone if you include aircraft. They also make electric generators and thin film solar panels, FYI. They offered the first (yes, before Toyota) hybrid in the US with the Insight. Then had one of the cleanest burning efficient...

It absolutely is as simple as those things. If those issues were "cured", nobody would care at all whether they drove ICE or EV. It would come down to style and preference, like Toyota vs Honda, or Fors vs Chevy. Rivian vs Canoo, if Canoo ever gets an offering out the door. Right now it...

Keep jumping through all the mental hoops you need to, sir. But with all due respect, nobody out there on the road -or off road, for that matter - fills just enough to get by unless they have to. Jerry cans included. They use them because they are at thier rope's end but given the choice...

But they ARE right. Those things are true. It is a very small (for now) group of people for whom an EV makes perfect sense. And theres another group of people with one foot on the boat and one foot on the dock...they would like to, or have switched, even though the benefits for them...

You have just typed nothing that disproves my points. And there is a tech problem with EV work trucks - range and charge time. Will the be cured? Eventually. Not now, though. And...The few that are out there are either not configured for workers, are too expensive, dont have the needed...

Range is less, and for MOST people, that matters. And why should one have to be a member of a private club to get a base model vinyl floor truck? Odd

Yes, lighting is built in a more traditional pickup truck style. That, I appreciate about lighting. But no way does a Ford base model work truck and the Lightning cost the same. And those tax credits can not be depended upon year after year, and certainly not once EV's take hold. MSRP of the...

The issue is that the electric trucks dont even offer a base equivalent trim level. Excuse me: the one company that does offer a simple work truck trim - Chevy Silverado EV Work Truck - wants $62k for it, and they configured it like the Avalanche, so nothing a construction worker needs will fit...

    What was your first Jeep?

Yep. That was about the difference in stance between my 99 WJ and my 99 WJ lifted as well. Dramatic difference. Shoulda kept mine as well. Where I was living at the time, I could not.

What is on your Work Bench right now?!?

Not a Dodge fan, but if I did buy a Dodge (RAM) I would want a power wagon. Very nice! I'm a big fan of a well built front end. There, I said it

What is on your Work Bench right now?!?

You could say you were a...PIONEER...in the industrial rolling musical cart movement, except the system is a Yamaha! Really cool! I love those old metal/ brushed aluminum face, big-knobbed (no comments from the peanut gallery) component based sound systems from the 70's and 80's with those...
