While I have had nearly 200k miles of good fortune with my GMC Sierra 5.3, I would want to note that regular oil changes with the proper synthetic 0w 20 oil is a must. The L83 5.3 liter is not like the old 5.7. That engine wanted 5w 30 but I could run any reasonable weight oil on either side...

Only thing with quadrasteer is. Find one in working order. And if you do, there aren't a lot of spare parts for it.
