Would an Extra $5,000+ Make a Difference?

Eh...Sony came out with Beta Max. Way better quality than VHS. Sony also had proprietary MMX (MMS?) Sticks like the SD cards, and those are the only memory sticks Sony cameras would take. Apple operates like this, too.

Would an Extra $5,000+ Make a Difference?

They did it through communism. Kinda forced the issue. We are busy trying to sus out which capitalist will come up with the best system so we can all get the third best system because they bid the lowest

GMC! Engine was moved to mid frame for the jumps by making a door in the bed exactly opposite the fuel filler door, sliding the engine in there, right behind the cab. That way it wasnt nose-diving hard right off the ramp

That Tango and Cash van, actually built on the GMT400, 1990's version of the full size Chevy Blazer Silverado 5.7 liter. They took out the windshield and put an 80's Monte Carlo Aero edition rear window in front. Attached a couple rocket launchers and voi la!

ah...memories of the 1970's and my parents reminding all of us kids to be so very leery of those van drivers. Then the A-Team came out on TV and parents weren't sure what was worse

Same reason that pickup truck guys who have a camper shell on the bed dont usually have stuff hanging off the sides: there's covered, protected, dry space inside. More so in a van, and it can be all accessed from inside but why put anything outside and expose it to the elements if you dont...

    Offroad jacks... really?

Thank you. There was one of these in every Pinto, Comaro, Thunderbird, Impala, and Cordoba back in the '70's.

Would an Extra $5,000+ Make a Difference?

Would not make a difference to me. Makes a 70 thousand dollar truck into a 65 thousand dollar truck. Still too rich for my blood

    EV acceptance is peaking

Agree with almost all of that. I imagine the possibility of a Jerry Can being replaced by a similarly sized jump box. But the 500 mile stat you mention? What truck has that now? Meh, practically none. My GMC Sierra 5 3 liter gets 420 on the regular (see what I did there?). More if I'm...

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

I read somewhere that the newest iterations of these midsize trucks are dang near size and capacity of 1990's full size trucks. the sloped down front noses aside, just looking at the boxes being high in the air as a dog in "play" stance (had to keep it Mod-friendly). My 14 GMC Sierra is rated...

    Cotton Clothing?

To be fair, flannel is cotton. I dont own one but Vermont Flannel is on my list. For now, my flannels consist of L.L. Bean (including one of the thick chamois types) and Weatherproof Vintage. You didnt specifically ask about socks but the ONLY socks I buy now are "Darn Tough" from the Cabot...

    Noobie Seeking Advice

While I have had nearly 200k miles of good fortune with my GMC Sierra 5.3, I would want to note that regular oil changes with the proper synthetic 0w 20 oil is a must. The L83 5.3 liter is not like the old 5.7. That engine wanted 5w 30 but I could run any reasonable weight oil on either side...

Only thing with quadrasteer is. Find one in working order. And if you do, there aren't a lot of spare parts for it.
