Aux fuel tank idea - Tell me why this won't work

I had a 91 as well. Maybe it was a 90. Definitely early GMT 400. 305 motor. 3 speed (+R) manual transmission. Manual transfer case. Regular cab, short bed, bench seat. Slider rear window. Fold-down windows. Manual side view mirrors big and square. Simple. Built to push, haul and pull

Aux fuel tank idea - Tell me why this won't work

Interesting. I guess I just never realized how small the individual tanks were. Thought they were each the standard size. And I never happened to experience the rocker switch failure, not that I doubt you. As for being located outside the frame, it was proven that NBC television had mocked...

Aux fuel tank idea - Tell me why this won't work

I just can not believe that we no longer have the stock or optional factory dual fuel tanks and filler doors like on the OBS 70's and 80's Chevy and GMC c/k pickups. But there must still be old plans lying around somewhere, so you could fabricate something like that almost to a tee. Fuel gage...

Pls Buy Some Appropriate Dam n Towing Mirrors!

I'll be looking for two mirrors anyway. Because I swear, side view mirrors on trucks these last 15 years or so have been the size of old Camaros or something. Too busy making trucks sporty and fast looking. Seems like older trucks always had big square mirrors and I have to get tow mirrors...

Tarp Under Tent - Common Practice?

The original space blanket was devoped (in Massachusetts, or some company in Mass had a contract to manufacture) for NASA. The earliest one I saw was in early 1970's in my father's station wagon. Medium blue on one side, reflective silver on the other. Thick (for the thinness of the blanket)...

Tarp Under Tent - Common Practice?

A/K/A the "Space Blanket." Love these. Have one for car camping and one in my light day hike pack. The people I'm with call me crazy to keep one in the day pack but I know better. If we get caught by surprise and have to stay the night, run a line between 2 trees, drape 10 inches over 1 side...

Tarp Under Tent - Common Practice?

I was never a boy scout but learned a few things from my father who was with the 101 in Nam. If the ground sheet (tarp) is bigger than the tent floor, you can fold it upwards somehow to help keep rain from getting between the tarp and the tent. Also, I'd love to get a couple of older army rain...

Tarp Under Tent - Common Practice?

A tarp under should have the edges raised somehow IF rain protection is part of the philosophy, aside from that, spot on...a tarp over keeps the actual rain off the tent as well and takes the impact of any small and twig sized branches that might fall from trees overnight, increasing life...

Tarp Under Tent - Common Practice?

Always 1 under. 1 over, whenever possible. I also use one instead of buying a batwing or any other fancy awning. So, yup. I carry a minimum of 3 tarps every camp trip

Frustrated Dealers May Succeed in Getting Corp to Reduce Ram Truck and Jeep Prices

Some thing like that you see at U-Haul, Chevy Silvy, 2wd, base, 8ft bed, built for tow-haul...is THAT 50k now?
