    Google Project Fi

Anybody else using this service or have recent experience with it? Our T-Mobile is about to be cut off and I'm looking for an alternative. Are you still required to use one of their phones, or can I make my unlocked Sony Xperia work? I'm mostly interested in the international capabilities, we...

    Running From Monday!

Thanks, I get tons of questions about which parts I've installed, so it's nice to have a reference I can send people too. I'm happy to talk about it all day long, but people seem to appreciate the lists and links once they get back home.

2005 Silverado 6.0L, heading to Argentina.

I got into the bigger tires that way too. I really just wanted the wheels, but they came with a set of H2 BFG's at about 75% for $500. Might as well bolt them on and see, right? Now with a 2" lift and the re-gear I'm pretty much married to them. I really liked the 35's when I had them. Let a...

    Falkor - 2001 Crew Cab 2500HD

Holy damn, this is an awesome build. I'm with Jack, never even considered a solid until I saw this design. All that awesome fabrication almost makes me wish I had a job again. Almost. Once I'm done dragging this poor truck all over the world, a SAS just might be in the works. I'll be...

2005 Silverado 6.0L, heading to Argentina.

I think they look pretty good. Especially if you could source some of the newer, rounder style chevy caps in chrome. They'd look almost stock. But you know, better. Interesting about the sidewalls, how wide are the wheels?

    Running From Monday!

And now we're in Belize! It took about a week to stop trying to use our limited Spanish, but we're back on track now. I just hope we don't lose too much of the little we had gained, Belize is a small country, we'll be in Guatemala in no time.. So far the warnings we'd heard back in Mexico...

    Running From Monday!

Taylor's sister was scheduled to fly into Cancun to meet us, so after our Spanish lessons ended we put in some of the longest driving days of our trip. A couple 9 hour days aren't bad, not when you have A/C and the scenery is so much fun to look at. All the highway driving even squeezed a little...

    Running From Monday!

It was pretty tough to tear ourselves away from our new friends and from Mazatlan, but we finally made it into the mountains. About a month later than planned. We visited (and tasted) Tequila, and made our first high altitude camp since Arizona on the flanks of the namesake volcano. Initially...

    Running From Monday!

We figured we'd make a quick visit into Mazatlan, the scramble for the mountains after only a day or so. We ended up spending three weeks in the city, it's a magical vortex of good food, live music, and a very forgiving police force who don't mind international contingents of hippies living in...

    Running From Monday!

From San Diego we crossed into Baja at Tecate. My first time in Mexico I pulled my wife and everything we own down with me.. We met up with friends for the Baja 1000, and had the complete baja experience. Race trucks, donkey carts, remote beaches, and plenty of fish tacos. After everyone else...

    Running From Monday!

We left Oregon on October 10th, 2016. 2 days after my 30th birthday. I drove my wife to lake Tahoe where she began the 2016 Rebelle Rally as a very fine kick off to our new life. After she and her partner took second place, I flew her to Boise and we continued on. We made our way through Utah...

    Running From Monday!

Hey guys, I’ve been lurking around here for a while, ExPo was invaluable for planning and for help with our build. The most valuable thing we gained from these forums, however, is the inspiration to stop dreaming and take to the road in the first place. Thanks to everyone, seriously. I do have...

Awesome, it sure is a small world. Too bad we didn't cross paths, I'm always up for a beer or two. 🍻

2005 Silverado 6.0L, heading to Argentina.

I never had any serious rubbing with the H2 wheels. Just a little on the inner fender liner and enough to clear a small patch of paint on the sway bar. Nothing that kept me turning lock to lock. I did have a set of black aftermarket wheels for a while with smaller 285/70 17 and they rubbed...

2005 Silverado 6.0L, heading to Argentina.

The truck was safe and sound, we've made it all the way to Belize now! I didn't realize I had asked about the power steering whine on here too.. want to make sure and let everybody know I solved it. Your idea was actually closest- one of the return lines from the hydroboost was rubbing on the...

    Viair Mounting Locatio

I've considered this a lot.. I'll do it as soon as the stock stuff rots off, which shouldn't take long with all the sea salt where we've been. I'm concerned about drone in the cab and lots of extra noise, but I'll cross that bridge when we come to it. The stock muffler is hilariously huge.

    Viair Mounting Locatio

Five months on the road with constant use and still working great! The only regret I have is not getting two of the 480C's.. E-rated baby 35's take a long time to fill. We're still only talking 15 minutes.. but 5 would be better. :ylsmoke:
