Maybe it's a SoCal thing or could it be related to our signatures somehow?:Wow1: Maybe just a coincidence, but I moved here from O'side, (for my current job) 15yrs ago. My Toyota's have always been my reliable DD's/offroad and surf vehicles.

    WASURF63's New ATFlippac

Nothing significantly new to report at this time. I'm just starting on the inside build (very slowly due to time and $$$). I'm also having a local guy build some sliders for this LWB rig. Should complete some of this by next month. Will post up some pics then. The Fiamma awning has a threaded...

My wife and I will probably not buy another Toyota. ??? Because now you'll never need another :), or because you would rather buy something besides a Toyota next time :( ? Just curious.

Maybe add some type of a small "fish" shape board to your quiver for micro surf, if you don't already have one? It's kinda difficult to be stealth when traveling with a longboard in/on a Toyota pickup; probably much easier with a full size p/u and an 8' bed or the Westy? Cheers, WS63

    Your First Toyota Experience

Owned a 1969 Toyota Corona with surf racks mounted to the rain gutters during my last years in high school ('79 thru '81). Took it on many surf trips from Santa Barbara to Ensenada, while growing up in L.A. Traded her in on a 1981 Toyota 4x4 with a 22R. I believe that was the first year for that...

QUOTE=SilverSurfer;665522]I really have to say your rig looks awesome with it so far. > I'm sure Doc never gets tired of hearing that.:victory: I chose not to drill into the top of my ATFP, but others like VikingVince have mounted a rack at the very rear of the top with success. You may also be...

Yah, but it's "one stop shopping" at it's finest! Doesn't your addiction deserve the best? Plus the drive out to Prescott when you pick up your ATFP is beautiful!

OME Dakar HD Springs Ride Quality

x2 on mine as well. I ran the full OME suspension (886/Dakar HD combo incl 4 NitroChargers) on my '08 Tacoma DC for over a year, then swapped the whole set up over to my current '10 Tacoma DC. NO PROBLEMS. :wings:

A full Bedrug will keep out most of the dust including the bottom of the tailgate, but you will still have to seal up both sides of the tailgate and should seal the side bed compartments from moisture as well The bedrug is really easy on the knees when crawling into the back of the truck, and...

    WASURF63's New ATFlippac

I put my awning on the passenger side for use in conjunction with the windoor. I will be putting my camp kitchen on that side of the truck. This will allow us to access the kitchen from the outside so we don't have to climb inside the rear hatch everytime we need something. It will also...

    WASURF63's New ATFlippac

I would say that the ATFP tent material is most similar to the Columbus "Airtex" material. It's mid-lightweight yet tough. IIRC the Maggiolina "Dralon" material felt quite a bit tougher than the other two. That was the a very warm and stout RTT. With steady winds in the 40mph+ range I just...

    WASURF63's New ATFlippac

My truck is a LB and TacoDocs is a SB. Width should be identical. (White has a slimming effect you know.) Sorry, no new pics of the interior. I've hit a $$$ roadblock for a while. I've been spending what little extra cash I have on fuel for camp/surf trips in the ATFP. I will post up more photos...

    Tacoma Roof Rack Questions

The AT Flippac is flush mounted with the truck bedrails. The bedrack on the previous setup hung outward over the rails about 4-5". I would also guess that the ATFP is about 6" lower in overall height than my previous Columbus RTT mounted to the bedrack.

    Tacoma Roof Rack Questions

I agree 100%. Before I got the AT Flippac idea in my head, I had near the same $ amount invested into RTT, bed rack, canopy, roof rack, awning, etc...as I just put into the ATFP. I also had a higher COG, was carrying more weight, and had far less usable interior space compared to what I have...

    Tacoma Roof Rack Questions

Hey Scott, I've been down this same road a couple times before with two other builds on Toyota trucks for PacNW exploration, besides my current rig (see signature below). I'd be glad to shed any light on questions you have regarding bedracks, RTT's, hardshell canopies, awnings, etc, if you're...
