Mot is an annual check of the car when it’s 3 years old. VED, ( vehicle excise duty ) is based on co2 figures. it’s broken into bands, the higher polluting the car, the more it’s taxed. My old tdv6 D3 was £330 a year, but others with exactly the same engine were £550. My Freelander 2 is £265 a...

68,000 orders. 50 international awards. This V8 model has a drift mode, the AJ engine with the right exhaust has a properly lovely noise to it. When you have V8s everywhere it may not stand out but over here with the majority of cars having 4 pot diesels or 3 pot petrols, a v8 stands out.

Maybe I’m in a minority but regardless of a reliability survey. I’ll still keep buying land rovers. The 4 wheeled version of crystal meth I guess. rather ironically, the only times mine left me at the side of the road were after Land Rover specialists failed to do their job properly leaving...

110 has centre diff lock and Goodyear AT tyres. Jeep has front and back diff lockers with mud tyres. G Class has 3 lockers with road tyres. I’ve seen them put a G Class against a D5 or a RRS and it lost. The G will be the G350D and the 110 is the D240.

Getting used to it in the snow. it’s snowed on and off all day so some areas have 8+ inches which for us is a lot. It’s no D3 but it’s still surefooted and could climb up/down hills without issue. command shift into 1st is low enough for decent engine braking for the steep hills.

It’s C. -30F wouldn’t be pleasant. It went to -16C last night in Scotland. Which is the coldest since 2010 for us. -28C for him. have to say seeing Fugi white with black roof and the kit on it does suit it very well.

I don’t think anyone was surprised it started. It’s the temperature that’s surprising. When you never experience such low temperatures, it’s surprising to see it elsewhere.

Depends on your region I guess. its never went as cold as that ever in Scotland. Lowest is -26. Personally -17 is the lowest I’ve seen. Which caused plenty of cars on my street to not start during the coldest of that winter. I’ve never seen the temps go below -10 in 11 years though. My Td4...

Have spoke to two more owners. One I see often as he lives near me. Basic Betty 5 seats and a steering wheel D200 base model in white with white steels. 8000 miles with no issues bar the A pillar cracking noise which was fixed. Another has 10,000 miles on his D240 SE, again, A pillar trim and...

The owner of this one has done almost 12,000 miles in it. It’s a P400 SE. He’s very happy with it. hasn’t had any problems with it and it’s had a few software updates. It’s been up the Dalton last year in a 4000 mile trip. He said the other day on the fb group that it started fine in -30 so...

    Xanadoo Upper Boot Basket LR3/4

The guy who made them fell way behind on orders. Lots of promises and no deliveries. he eventually had to refund people but it took its time for everyone to be paid back. not sure if there is another replacement product from another company but this one is firmly dead.

man who’s a fantastic car reviewer, former magazine editor and a genuine farmer gets the 110. says it’s brilliant. Brilliant enough to consider changing from a Range Rover to get one.

I think the golden rule would be to not buy a first year car of any run from any maker. regardless of who they are, there will always be teething issues and the final 5% of development done by the user. Land Rover are good in that field, let the user sort the final 5% for them and life is...

Do we know if that 110 was cut up though to get at the driver? The cabin looks to have held U.K. but panels seem to have been cut up and then thrown back onto the car to tidy the scene. is there any info on what he hit?

well.... Despite it being stripped down, and some parts sold off. the actual car still remains under my ownership and hasn’t sold. My gf has now thrown a curve ball into that as now we have bought a house. She has said, if we leave it till next year. We can save up and bring the car back to...

Is it a US thing where you don’t have screen cover with car insurance? I had my heated screen on my Disco 3 changed and it was only £80 excess for the Pilkinton glass. Are you having to pay full price for a screen change? As for the scraper thing, being a tad vertically challenged at 5,8 on a...

That works well with a petrol engined car like you all are fortunate to have. we don’t get many land rovers now with petrol engines. Disco 3 V8 stopped in 2006. The Disco 4 never got one here. Diesels take a bloody age to warm up so heated screens help with that. some come with an auxiliary...

The biggest bonus for me was in 2018. We had a “beast from the east” winter storm for days. I went out in the D3 to rescue a mate and get him and his car home. The heated screen was on pretty much the full time for the 70 mile round trip keeping the wipers from freezing up with the temperature...

Decent review and if his average speed is that high, he’s been shifting at proper speeds for a I’ll argue blind that a heated screen is a must have. I wouldn’t be without one and have had them in 4 landys over 12 years. 1 screen has been replaced in all that time. My gf now wants one for her...

The new 6 cylinder diesels are mild hybrid as well. The P400e gets a much lower tax band, the regular stuff is similar to the diesels. By the sounds of his video, the 6 cylinder ones weren’t out when he shot it. The ved rates are all over the place and because they are above £40,000 they get...
