Mobile and Monitoring's 1st Gen Tundra

Love it! Always good to see more 1st gen Tundra's out there. I'm a big fan of the Pro Comp wheels....I was seriously considering getting a set of the 7069's until I pulled the trigger on SCS. Looks like you're sagging a bit in that last shot. Did you upgrade the rear springs?

First Gen Tundra Transmission/Transfer Case Cross Member

Sorry it took so long. Been away from the internets for a couple days. Here's the transfer case from a DC, both sides. Appears to be unsupported on its own, attached to supported transmission

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Unfortunately I don't have anything around me that offers any sort of lifetime plan. I get to pay every time I go in. The closest place that would offer a lifetime plan would be at least 45 minutes away, and I don't drive down that way very often.

I can get pictures of my double cab, but I'm not sure if the transfer case support is different from an access cab? My guess is no, but without seeing an access cab I can't be sure.

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I'm not terribly interested in a tire that isn't winter rated, which is why I'm still heavily leaning towards the BFG KO2. Winters around me can get pretty rough, with heavy snow and ice. Mountain passes around here routinely require snow-rated tires and all wheel drive. I don't plan on...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Got it aligned today at Les Schwab. The place that did it a week ago wanted to charge me again for it, and they couldn't get me in for another week. So Les Schwab got me in today and for the next 30 days any adjustments are free. Before/After Left Caster: 2.0/3.2 Camber: 0.5/0.3 Toe: 0.16...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Sorry it took so long, but here are the pictures: Thanks! That gives me something to shoot for. I'll take those back to the tech and let them work on it again.

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

So you other 1st gen owners with aftermarket UCA's (Camburg, Total Chaos, SPC, etc)....what are your alignment numbers? Specifically what is your caster set to?? Factory spec is 0.5 degrees....upper end of factory spec is 2 degrees. Camburg says to set it at 6 degrees. What do you all...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I'll have to look into the AT3....looks less expensive than the KO2's. Snow rated is also a good thing here. Last winter wasn't bad, but the winter before was brutal! I'm pretty sure I had to bend mine out to the fender slightly so it didn't hit the hood. Once installed I then bent the...

Camburg UCA's. I know they increase caster over stock, which from what I understand is a good thing. I didn't realize you could push the LCA's back and decrease the caster again....that must be what they did. I don't have a printout because the shop that did the work had a third-party shop do...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Took a closer look under the truck and saw that they went ahead and just replaced the entire LCA's along with the bushings. The shop probably destroyed the old LCA's cutting the bolts off. So that's part of the expense...the cheapest I found OEM ones for online was $200 a piece. Plus new cam...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Thanks for your input regarding tires. I'm definitely leaning heavily toward the BFG's. Yes everyone has them, but that I think speaks highly of the tire. Got the truck back today from several days in the shop. I feel bad for the guys who had to work on it! All four cam bolts had to be...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I've looked casually at the Cooper ST Maxx, but I haven't met anyone who's owned them so I have nothing to go on. The guys around here seem to like the BFG's in the snow, though maybe they aren't quite as good as the Duratrac's. One of the main reason's I'm leaning towards BFG's is I can get...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Not quite fixed yet. The truck is actually in the shop at the moment getting the LCA bushings replaced. I would attempt it myself but I have absolutely no time to do so...between work, family, new babies, other responsibilities, I don't have a spare couple Saturday's to work on it. Plus I...

    '10 Tundra CrewMax

My family used to head down to Guerro Negro all the time to fish. There's a place to the west of it called Laguna Manuela that was an awesome place to catch sand bass. The lagoon is behind a reef of pristine sand dunes (sometimes we found old shipwrecks in the sand that had been...

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

Look out how much available travel there is. What is that, like 18 inches until the front tire contacts the fender?? This thing was awesome before the wreck, and from the looks of it will be incredible when finished. I'm now suffering from major truck jealousy.

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

The truck was already lifted a bit when I bought it. I lifted the front more when I switched to ICON coilovers. When I replaced the CV axles with CVJ remanufactured ones I did not use hose clamps. The inner boots are hi-angle boots, and the outer ones are normal. The clamps they used seem to...

Awesome! Is there a link to where I can see more of this Tundra? That's really close to what I'm trying to achieve.
