    DIY Composite Flatbed Camper Build

Remaining to do list; Fantastic air vent, bathroom solar vent, pocket tabs for flatbed, clamps, under bed gray tank install, 12 volt air conditioner, steps and touch up paint. Probably something I'm forgetting.........always is. As we were cleaning the garage I thought I'd take some pictures...

    DIY Composite Flatbed Camper Build

Finally reclaiming the garage! The 7' clearance was barely enough for the camper. So close that the vents had to wait for installation. Once it was out, we loaded onto a camper dolly for easy maneuverability. I was a little concerned that the weight added from the first time we moved it...

    DIY Composite Flatbed Camper Build

Thanks for the input. The steps fit nice and flat against the interior door. My only hesitation is the possibility of damaging the screen. Also dirt from the steps themselves. In my experience the steps get dirtier from use than being stored outside the camper. Yes you can always sweep them...

Thanks, wish I could take credit for making the stairs but buying was much easier:) Found them on Amazon. Very easy to disassemble by removing C clips. Quality is good and may be more versatile than the scissor style...

    DIY Composite Flatbed Camper Build

A while back I came across these steps; http://daviddeere.net.au/dnnd2/en-us/Blog/Post/1337/Folding-Stairs XP uses something similar which slides into the bed. With my build, I can't really do this. I had hoped that I could pivot the steps up and over the door for travel, but with the design...

    DIY Composite Flatbed Camper Build

One advantage of this porta potti is the ability to slide it under the sink to create more shower standing space. Not sure if I'm going to like the disposal process from the inside as opposed to outside access. Still have space to install an outside access unit if this one doesn't pan out.

I'm thinking that's what happened with this other customer. I just can't stand fraud. I'll take a loss and purchase another unit elsewhere.

Jonathan, Not sure if I understand you correctly. Floor plan of my build does not make sense so I assume you mean dimensions of the unit? If so, click on the link of the unit and look for technical specs. It provides all the info you need. If you choose to do business with this company...

    DIY Composite Flatbed Camper Build

Instead of sending a new cover, they suggested glue to fix the cover as it did not affect the unit mechanically, and also apologized. Then said FEDEX would not send another as it was to risky for damage. Enough already, time for a refund. We'll see how it goes.

Update on 12 volt air conditioner. Unfortunately this did not turn out well, but I'll share so others might be aware. For some time I have been looking at 12 volt back pack split system AC's. I narrowed it down to this company which has been in business over ten years...

I had a 3500 with the manual inflate airbags. Every time I checked the pressure it would never be where I set it initially. My current truck has Hellwig air bags with a firestone automatic remote controlled compressor. It allows me to inflate either or both sides while driving. I mainly just...
