I'm in the process of building mine.

As an AWD & a 4WD owner / driver, there are a lot of places that both can access, and a lot of places I would only take my 4WDs. Stupid is as stupid does. Even though my '14 Outlander has a S-AWC 4WD system with "LOCK" mode, it does not have a low range in the transfer case.

Its a car (common with Ford Escape and Bronco Sport) platform Ford C2 with a pickup box. I don't own one, but know a few who do and they like them.

I have a diesel heater, butane stove and a 12V blanket. Solar and a Li-Ion pack for the electrical bits, no inverter, not really found a need for AC while camping. Works for me.

I bought a pair of Rocky upland boots 30 years ago and were rock solid, they wore out and a couple years ago I replaced them with another pair - not the same unfortunately.

I have no experience with them, are they a 1 man show?

Is there $4 to5K in added value accessories? Always difficult to make up the added cost for aftermarket addon equipment.
