    Sierra Expeditions

Not to give out folks personal info but Wil is a great guy who has had some health and life issues... Truly and completely sucks as he is as old G around the US Overland Expo scene as it gets...as in he was one of the 1st folks to bring goodies into the US and has done more to build up the early...

    Question about Vagabond Nomad

I really liked my Snap Treehouse.... aluminum so didn't weigh much, huge side window/doors made getting anything from the bed cake and the bed lifted into the roof if you needed max walkaround space inside

Other fast deploy ground tents besides Oztent and Gazelle?

That is actually pretty cool, you get the shade canopy if that is all you need and then a tent if you want more, cool

Foam replacement for RTTs - lessons learned

In almost every roof top tent, sleep inside setup and now my Sportsmobile Poptop I have used Exped MegaMats and love the 4in of bliss. You can let some air out to pack away with your sleeping gear and you get a high R factor to keep you warm.

Carrying Propane - exchangeable 20lb tank versus 2 smaller tanks

I have played with every size and type of perm & port propane tank over the years.... Nothing beats the cost & ease of the standard 20lb tank. Even in the smallest towns I can swap or fill, never an issue.

1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer with matching Four Wheel Campers "Blazer" for sale.

Thanks for the heads up on this Sat for the show, that is a great coffee shop that gets a good crowd. I will try to stop by and eye ball this so folks get a 2nd verification that this is a killer old school rig worth buying. If I wasn't so deep into my van I would jump all over this, what a...

    fridge... battery..solar..questions

You are on track for a nice simple system.... Yes when you are near "shore" power go ahead and plug in the fridge, all the good ones automatically default to 120v if aval (except newest Dometic, they will catch on fire :) If you already have the "suitcase" solar with controller and the Lithium...

Need a better remote temp sensor for my Engel MT45

I use a number of the SensorPush modules and they are amazing. I have them in my fridge, in the wall of my van where all the electronics/Lithium battery is, in the open air (to see just how hot it gets...148deg max, and how well insulation works) in my cigar humidors (2 winecooler and 2 desktop)...

Where are good places to buy cable, wire, lugs, crimping tools, heat-shrink, bus bars, bus bar covers, main fuses, DC panels, AC panels, and so on?

Delcity and Waytek have been great sources with good prices, quick shipping and very nice when I have had questions.

SMB West Coast done as we know it

They will be back in July 2021 better than ever... I honestly think they had the short end of the stick all these years as SMB West was the ones at events, creating the coolest rides and making VanLife cool. Austin and the other were living off the history and efforts of West. I am proud to have...

Looking for a comparison of 270 awnings

Yes on both the Darche and the 23Zero if there is no wind or just a slight breeze I am happy to setup without legs. My only downside has to do with my van not the awning, I am 5ft 7in and need a step stool to open and close up the awning due to the height of the roof fence (with a poptop I don't...
