So - after a few days with the rsi installed, it absolutely looks 100x better in person than in photos - it matches the truck well while not making it look like an SUV, or a utility truck. That last part was a concern because white truck with a white metal cap could look like a service vehicle...

The commercial caps come painted white - just so happens it's the same white as my truck. Sorry to hear it's leaking - something I will watch out for. There are a few items I need to follow up with them on...

Understand... the parking sensors definitely won't be solved with the expo one - their sensor set up just does not work. I do think the departure angle is pretty good though...

The hitch based spare tire carriers are popular, and are well reviewed. At least one of them will clear 41s...

I would do it with a drum sander, pretty easy to keep it round with the right sized drum...

Finally finished the wiring - I used some crazy nice bulkhead connectors to make the mic's easily detached - the issue was finding a matching set both for the ftm400 and Midland connectors. Turned out pretty nice. Protip for those following me, put them lower than I did, and use the hex grid...

And finally finished running the remote head cables for my radio... so far, this set up is working very very well...

It could be that I am late to the party, or that I just never realized folks were using these, but I recently discovered a fused battery terminal from blue sea that I think is very interesting. Hard to have the fuse closer than on the terminal. I used this for my 100 amp run to under my back...

@St8ton Any chance you could share details of the cowl mount NMO set up for the @MidlandUSA antenna? Looking for an NMO plate, and figured you already ran this gauntlet? Any close up pictures?

Finally took a few minutes to run my antenna wire and mount up an antenna... finally, it's been too long without a radio! Parts list was stolen from @HeliNomad . My radio is on a custom bracket under the 60% side of my rear seat, and the cable was almost exactly the correct length to run...

@marshal any details on the 38" rt? I would very much consider as your atw3 recommendation has been outstanding for me.. is this the rubitrack?
