1996 dodge 3500: Swiss Army knife

Nice. That is the one thing I like about the 2000/2001 models. The front axle uses slip on rotors and dual piston calipers with removal mounting brackets. You can bolt on the larger diameter 3rd gen rotors (dual piston calipers are the same) and just change out the mounting brackets. All...

    EarthCruiser Closing Doors

Yeah, just saw that about an hour ago on IG. Very sad to hear. I have wanted an FX for a very long time but always beyond my reach.

Oven over Fridge. Yes? No? Maybe?

My thought would be on top of the shelf the oven sits on. This should help radiate any heat upwards and should prevent any hot spots on the wood shelf as it will act as a heat sink to a degree.

Lets see some full size pictures...

Very cool. I have a 2000 Ram 2500 and really wish I could replace the seats but 98-01 Dodge put the seat belts into the seats, as there is no "B" pillar due to the opening rear doors. I do like having the rear doors to access the back seat, unlike my old '97. :)

Nice trailer. Forum rules require you post a price.

Oven over Fridge. Yes? No? Maybe?

I don't see an issue. Heat rises so you're likely not going to get a ton of downward heat transfer. If you have an air gap and reflectix between the two, it is not likely to create any issues. If you wanted to (and can), you could put a thin wood shelf with a thin aluminum sheet on top of it...

2000 Frontier (Supercharged) Build and Adventures - Babe the Blue Ox

That is very weird for a shock to break. Typically that is due to reaching the mechanical limits of the shock (topping or bottoming out). I have run Bilstein's in 17 different vehicles and have never broken one, nor have I broken a shock in any of the 59 vehicles I have owned.

Guess who's back!?! Atl-atl's K5 Blazer + Four Wheel Camper "The Crawlin Cabin" documentation thread!

That totally sucks! It's one thing to have a part go bad, as even new stuff can be bad but to have that many wiring issues from the production side, very sad to hear. Back in the beginning of days of FiTech, I got their very first GoStreet EFI injection system. After almost 8 years... it is...

    Meet Yeti - 2013 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X

Not much to update but I did swap out the fog lights. I installed the Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fog lights but found they were way too bright for normal driving use. Back roads with no other traffic, they were awesome but daily, around town/traffic use, they were just blinding. Decided to swap...

This was my '97 Ram with 12v Cummins. It wheeled just fine.

    2023 RAM 3500 HELP

If cost is no concern, I would talk to the folks at Dynatrac and have them build you a custom axle. I believe this is what EarthCruiser is using for their Isuzu platform. https://www.dynatrac.com/

    Garmin Overlander

Wow, that sucks. I have had mine a few years but haven't used it nearly as much as my project vehicle is way behind. I have used it in my more "daily" 4WD vehicles. I found out after the first of the year, they stopped selling the backup cameras. I happened to find two of them (forum and FB...

Good luck with the sale, bummer to see it go. To anyone looking, Gear (Justin) is a very meticulous person who has built out some awesome rigs. Attention to details it top notch. Zero reservations of buying anything from him. Truly a fly in, drive to your next adventure type rig. If I was...

Ram 2500 gasoline extended gas tank help

My guess is folks are trying to find an under bed/stock location tank and not a tank that sits across the bed like a tool box. Also note this info about California, from their page. NOTE: Due to the California Air Resource Board (CARB) regulations, we will NOT offer gasoline auxiliary fuel...

Northern Lite 610 for 1/2 Ton PU

In my experience, those weight are never correct. A full wet weight is almost never listed and is typically a dry weight. Dry weight is meaningless. Full wet weight with all of the actual items in the actual camper are the only true numbers that have any meaning. My Northstar TC800 listed...

Do people really take their off-road teardrops through gnarly trails?

Not so much a teardrop but this was a Kamparoo clam shell style trailer we used to pull with our Cherokee. These were out in Death Valley area. The one pic is going up Mengal Pass.

    Tufport Overlander

Yeah, I saw this pop up in a FB ad. I was like cool.... until I saw the interior height of 65". My M1010 ambo had an interior height of 65" and it was the biggest PITA. Not tall enough to stand upright. I did a roof raise of 8" so I could stand up. Made a world of difference. It think...
