    eatSleepWoof gets a Winnie

I’m no electrician but I’ll take a stab at an uneducated reply. I believe every outlet, light switch, wire splice etc needs to be in an enclosed junction box. There are not conventional junction boxes in an rv, they use the weird combination outlet/junction box things you found. If you changed...

Yes those are odd. They are their own junction box, that’s the idea. There’s a very expensive tool that presses the wires into place. They’re rated for three sets of wires pressed in there, which gets real tricky. They’ve definitely caused me some stress. Since they function as their own...

    Victron Orion XS

You only get about 5-10amps using the seven way. Also with the voltage drop you’re not giving the battery the charge voltage it wants. More amps and no voltage drop with a dc/dc.

I saw someone online simply lean a couple pieces of plywood against their generator, like an A frame. He claimed the angle reflected the noise into the ground. Never tried it myself.

Those cable operated valves are awful, doesn’t matter what they’re on. I see people give up on them and put another gate valve right at the sewer hookup.

We had a trainer come from forest river. He said something to the effect of “our trailers are made using red bull, weed, and fentanyl.” It was a good icebreaker, it was nice to know we were all on the same page.

Some of the lithium compatible converters will change over automatically after a charge cycle. Some of them have a tiny little switch on the board, you have to take off the cover front cover.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

My old ‘19 Ranger was referred to as the “race truck” by the guys at work after I surprised one of them in his old three series. (335i I think, the one with a turbo) I kinda miss it.

Possible new class 5 rig. Am I nut's to choose gas motor ?

It’s not just about changing rpms. You get more torque in every gear. More gear reduction (bigger gears) get you more torque at lower output speed(higher input speed).

Is Offroading in a SuperDuty Really That Bad?

This is the reason I went from 17’s to 18’s on my 2500. I like the look of the 17’s but you cant find many skinny 35’s on 17’s. 18’s was the easiest way to fit narrow 35’s (285/75r18) on my stock Chevy with the small wheel wells.
