    2000 Ford 7.3L Motovan build (225's build cont'd)

I ordered a few parts I have to put on. New up pipe bolts, and pedestal O rings: Dana 60 master rebuild it. I was waiting on this to come to order the right pinion bearing to use as a setup bearing. Since I got the # off it, it's on the way. I have to order gears and a locker. I won't do...

I had to look it up. Yea, its North of Asheville. I've ridden those roads before. They're pretty good. I see you're a supermoto guy? I had supermoto's for 10 years. Here's a few of my old ones: HMC built 505xc, with dual Ti Akra's: My 2012 500 EXC (last one I had) Built by FBI: I had a...

The last post is from me. For some reason Tapatalk used that name... ******... A little history and planning. I grew up in a mechanic shop. I learned a lot as a kid, mostly to keep me busy, my grandfather gave me old crap to take apart and put back together. So, I have a good understanding of...

I like those mud flares, but I also like slinging mud all over the van. Think it looks cool lol.

Yo, Chris, I seen on some of your vans, you add a Ford OEM brake controller? Is that possible on my old 2000 7.3 van? Or do I need to go aftermarket? The OEM would look so much better.

That’s good to hear. I wouldn’t mind a stripped chassis E Series. Just the cab and a V10. Maybe in a couple years I’ll buy a low mileage one or a new one.

I understand how a fan clutch works. On a regular 7.3 F-250 fan clutch, the nut sticks out past the fan: On the van version, the nut sits INSIDE the fan. Impossible to get to without a curved tool to get around the fan: It's not a straight forward install.

Thanks. There's a bushing that's held in place with a clip. I removed the clip and pounded out the bushing out with a socket, and brought the bushing to the parts store. That way I didn't have to lug the turbo with me to find the right freeze plug.

I've been having crazy high EGT's. I think due to the failure of the EBPV...... I ordered a ebpv delete kit about a year ago lol. Never installed it. I was told that the kit wouldn't work on vans. That's kinda true. The pedestal works great. But the flapper valve delete doesn't. To remedy...

Tried to change my fan clutch. That was a bust. For some strange reason, the van 7.3 clutch fan nut is tucked in behind the fan. Need a special tool I guess. But according to the reviews, it looks like it almost works. I dunno...

Any suggestions on fan clutch removal on a 7.3? The nut is behind the fan tucked in. Didn't know if y'all ever changed one before.

It messed with me having the van on jack stands and no suspension under the van. Kinda scary! I got a smoking deal on a low mileage transfer case: Checked the tailshaft I bought for it. Fits perfectly.

It took me about 4, solid 8 hour days to be driving. It was hard work and it wasn't easy. That being said, I'm %1000 glad I did it. I still need gearing in the rear end in the worst way. I have 3.55's in it now and need 4.10's.
