I like the Power Wagon (spent a lot of time checking one out at the auto show), but I just don't need anything that large. The only thing I'll tow will be my M416 and that size bed(Fronty) is plenty large for my uses.

I'm anxiously awaiting the unveiling of the new Frontier. I have a Xterra currently (plan to keep it until it dies) and want a Frontier so I have a truck again (second vehicle). I have kept up with the Navarra announcements. I do hope the new Fronty keeps the off road capabilities.

What about getting a sheet of HDPE, cutting it to the diameter of the wheel (so it fits up against the bead of the tire), drill some strategically placed holes, and secure it to the face of the wheel? That should be enough to stop rock damage and it would not corrode like metal would.

I think it looks really good. After I looked at for a bit, I think I would have put the hinge for the tire carrier on the passenger side so if you are pulled of the side of a road, you are not opening the carrier into traffic. Just a thought.

Has the company ever considered making flares for the XTerra (specifically the second gen)? I would think people would buy them since the Titan swap is fairly common (for the ones who actually go off roading).

As long as the mount is designed and built properly, then there is nothing wrong with it. There is a winch mount made for Xterra's that goes behind the factory bumper cover in a similar way.

Did the have an explanation as to what happened?
