Stay away from the 3.0 V6. Period. As stated by many above, mileage on the 3rd generation 4runner is so irrelevant. Look at the maintenance. Has the coolant been changed, what kind of condition is the radiator in? do the valve covers leak onto the ground? Does it have Toyota Red coolant in it...

Just received my Oztent RV-1 last week. (Wanted it to fit inside my 4Runner, and it does perfectly). Haven't had a chance to use it yet. It's so hot right now in Austin! Hopefully this weekend I can find a open spot near the lake. More info to come.

I love this thread. Here's my old 92, 5 speed, 3.slow with a a 10 inch bob and 33's. I truly miss this truck, just not the gas mileage. I now have a 1999 4Runner, which is a great platform to graduate to.

We took 90 to 67 (Alpine to Marfa) and headed down 67, into Presidio, then 170 onto Bofecillos No sir, all we saw were jack rabbits haha Technically it's a "61" but it is very awesome!
