Not mine, just seen in Big Bend while camping in Cottonwood last week. Looks like a pretty awesome setup. Banner on the windshield says "Trail Monkeys"

Wow! Didn't realize how similar the CXTs and Maxxs were until you really put them up side by side

    Cummins 2.8L inline 4 diesel

If my information is correct, the engine has been used internationally in both watercraft and automobiles for several years now and proven to be a very reliable and popular engine in that time frame. The Chinese origins worried me a little also initially, but knowing Cummins they probably know...

They also took a terrible line and even flat out admitted it in the video. I recall them saying something along the lines "We should have just drove the rock rather than straddled it".

    Cummins 2.8L inline 4 diesel

Exactly! Cummins engines tend to be easily tunable and have plenty of untapped potential. Kind of funny how people always talk about the oil pan being composite and being a "poor choice" on Cummins' part. I partially agree with that due to oil pans always being a risk for being wacked but...

Had a little winter wonderland experience Saturday with some snow, nothing crazy though. As sad as it may sound, this is the Jeep's first real experience with snow

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

The front brakes are now Power Stop and like I said, are brand spanking new; rotors, calipers, and pads. I might see if they are warrantied, my dad decided to get them installed while waiting for the new tires to arrive. I don't currently have the money to replace them, especially BM brakes and...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

So I've been noticing this pulsing when I brake, usually something associated with warped rotors. Initially it was minimal but it has only gotten worse, in fact it gives me a headache every time I have to brake. Is there a chance that my rotors are already warped, like they are brand new! I...

2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with J30 (gobirubicon)

That is a gorgeous color! Why didn't Jeep think of 'Gobi' when they were producing TJs!?

How would you outfit this custom LJ?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's beautiful! I would happily rock that hardtop, not mention actually make going topless possible for me on a consistent basis. How would you plan to design the rear cargo access? Like similar to the barn door design with your Safari Cab or keep similar to stock? I said...

How would you outfit this custom LJ?

Regardless I really like this idea. I think it would be interesting to kind of do a rendering of top color being similar to the Safari Tops you designed. Something like the white roof with the rest of it say color matched to the body. I would definitely be willing to invest my money in this In...

    El Jeepe!

Here's another solution for your roof rack dilemna. Save up for a GR8Tops Safari Top. They are expensive but are sturdy for roof storage, have multiple panels to make removing the top as easy as possible, and you don't have to ruin your vision of the classic Jeep look.

How would you outfit this custom LJ?

Okay your rendering uses an orange LJ/TJ. I feel it would be best suiting to use an orange donor TJ;)... Just make it somehow work with my Gobi:D

Ideas, suggestions, do/dont's for an overlanding TJ

Being that you are on 35" tires, have you upgraded your steering and brakes? I think fuel range is going to be a big factor for you too. Besides an engine swap, you might consider some can mounts to fit 2 or 3 5L Nato cans. If you plan to stick a NV4500 in let me know how you get it to pair up...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

A Big Step An old idea that I have brought up in past posts. I've been sitting around and really thinking the last few weeks and have decided to make an executive decision on the Jeep when the time and money presents itself. I will be doing the Cummins 2.8l Repower Kit. Why the decision? I...

To my knowledge grey tops and fenders were exclusive to 2005 models. Maybe I'm wrong. Some see it as an abomination, others don't mind it, I love it. Plus the fenders don't fade like the black ones
