    Robin the Fzj80

I like this 80! Something nice about a tan interior with a red exterior...oh! And an ARB bumper:sombrero:

    LoD Bumper Rattle

That's what I need to adjust on my ARB carrier. It's never been properly adjusted and rattles and squeaks all over the place

    Tires again ugh

Load C is what is normally recommended with Jeeps due to weight. Load E is fine too, just heavier and a little stiffer.

Jeep Base Vehicle Selection for First NEWB Overland Build

Articulation is fine with leaf springs. Ride comfort is no doubt better in a WJ but a good set of shocks and springs can make a quite a difference for an XJ. IF comfort is key for you, definitely still consider a WJ. If possible, I would try to test drive both in relatively stock form and see...

Jeep Base Vehicle Selection for First NEWB Overland Build

X2 with what Zeiderman said The aftermarket support for XJ is also much larger than that of WJs to my knowledge. You can find clean XJs with moderate milage in the $3k-$5k price range which IMO leaves pretty solid wiggle room for money to spend towards modifications.

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

Appreciate it Chad I order an HD OME lift through DPG:http://dpgoffroad.com/products/old-man-emu-ultimate-tjlj-wrangler-kit/ (I ordered the kit without the BL and MML) Overall lift was about 2.5" after break in. It's a good platform in case I ever want to go to a larger tire again. I highly...

    Long sleeve summer weight shirts.

Colombia has a lot to pick from. May sound a little stupid but frisbee clothing like from Spin Ultimate is awesome. I have a few of their long sleeves that I wear a lot fishing or playing frisbee. In both cases, they do well to keep you cool in hot weather.

Cummins 2.8L Diesel "Repower" engine kit

Heard a recent update from a guy on Wrangler Forum who met with a few Cummins guys at EJS this year. They are currently not allowed to reveal the pricing just yet but hinted at the pricing likely landing between $12k-$15k. Even though it was a long shot, I am a little disappointed that the kit...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

Managed to find time today to run into a local reputable shop to take a look at the Jeep. Rotors were warped and turned and she brakes smooth as butter now. Noticed my steering had been real loose since I had gotten it back earlier in the year and asked for them check the alignment and adjust if...

Switching my life to "not Jeans". Can I get some recomendations for good NON JEANS

I have yet to be disappointed with any of my Kühl purchases. Bought a pair of their Kontra pants a few weeks ago (and one of their longsleeve shirts for half off) and love them. I use them fishing mostly but are a great summer pants to use casually. Still have to say that their Rydr's are my...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

Trying to find a weekend where I can get a little help to do that. My issue is that I don't have jackstands at this house (which I can easily buy some) and finding a weekend where I can get some assistance from friends to drive me where I need to go. Also have the extra work of removing and then...

Cooper ST Maxx vs BFG AT KO2

FYI: I ran KOs a while back and now run ST Maxxs (Obese Jeep TJ Rubicon) Q1: No personal experience with KO2s but have heard very mixed reviews dealing with tread life. Having run the KOs in the past, I thought they were an excellent tire and had great tread life (probably could have gotten...

    Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx

Kind of funny that it's lacking the snowflake symbol considering I have only heard good things about ST Maxx handling in snow and winter conditions. Pretty sure WyoCherokee gave as good of a review on their winter performance as anybody

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

So I was doing a little look over on the Jeep today and I noticed something that seemed a little odd. Seems that the front tires are toe'd out a bit, enough to be noticeable without really looking that hard (tried to get a picture but it doesn't do much justice). Any idea if this might also be...

    MOPWR Build

Man that sucks, I really enjoyed your ZJ. I think this is a good point to start with a fresh slate and salvage what you can from the ZJ. Seems that TJ prices have suddenly taken an odd dip so if a small Wrangler is what you are after, I would go for that. Congratulations on the Masters!

    Captain Texas Anvil JKU build

Honestly seeing how these 3.6s are holding up, good luck killing it:sombrero: and chill with the driving, you are fixing to pass me up in milage at the rate you are going:safari-rig::********:

    El Jeepe!

Whatcha talkin bout Willis!? Pretty sure our TJs fell under the label "classic" as soon as JKs came out:victory: Hope you enjoyed your time in Texas. Next time I recommend heading NW of Austin and checking out Marble Falls. It's a Jeep town with a well known ORV park called Hidden Falls nearby...
