Yes, it's a basket case. No, I was not on drugs when I built it... (2001 Toyota Tundra 2->4WD Build)

I am not sure on timeline but let me know if you end up wanting them, it will be a month or so before I can get the LT parts. I am waiting to hear back from BTF Fab about what I can make work with the hubs/spindles I have now. Once I know that, I will know if I have to sell my setup or if I can...

It looks like I am going to have the opportunity to pickup a complete long travel front end, the kicker is that its 04-06 ball joint size not 00-03 like mine is now. As such, my full front end setup may be for sale. Its got probably 1000 miles on it since the manual hub swap. Comes with with new...

    2002 Sequoia Limited 4WD

What gauge is the wiring? I tried a couple different cheaper led spot/rock lights and always ran into issue with the tiny wires. They weren't prewired though so splicing a reasonable gauge wire to angle hair gauge wire was a mess. I gave up and threw the KC Cyclones under my truck. Sean

    255/85R16 ST/Maxx dilemma

I can't comment on the taco specs but I know on my Tundra, I had several shops align it within spec and it would still shred tires. Toyota's spec allows for way too much toe in from the factory and the alignment shops just rolled with it. After about 10k miles, the outer edges of the tires would...

Truck Bed Storage Ideas and Suggestions

My jack mount/skid plate is from tt motorsports but I am not sure its made anymore. I like it for what it is. Its does rattle but thats more to do with the jack than the mount. The mount and plate itself fit really well and has a provision for a lock. I made the jack handle mount myself, its...

05-07 WRX/STI seats fit really well from what I have seen. I have thought about seeing how my 19 WRX Recaro seats fit but I am pretty sure my wife would kill me if I tried. Sean

Thats the big choice for me as well, I don't want to lose the option to recline but I also don't use it so its probably a non issue. Sean

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Why not make something hitch mounted or use the recovery clevis mounts That is the biggest issue I have with my truck. When the hitch was in the stock position under the factory bumper, the departure angle was TERRIBLE and it hung on everything. When I moved the hitch up to inside the frame...

Yes, it's a basket case. No, I was not on drugs when I built it... (2001 Toyota Tundra 2->4WD Build)

No major updates, I have been driving the truck for about 2 weeks since swapping the intake/injectors and I can safely say I have not noticed any difference in the way the truck drives. Since I did the swap without any real data from before/after with the current setup (winch +295s+ loads of...

Shifter Mount Base Fab (nothing is more permanent than a temporary item) I got started fabricating my replacement console yesterday, it mounts to the floor of the truck by the inserts used to hold the trans shifter boot in place. I still have some work to do to figure out what the rest will...

Yes, it's a basket case. No, I was not on drugs when I built it... (2001 Toyota Tundra 2->4WD Build)

After the failure of the first transfer case, I decided to swap my transfer case back for a replacement J shift. I installed a set of double detent springs and upgraded shifter seat from marlin crawler and modified the shift lever to be (approximately) straight up and down. The stock parts were...

A340F left hand drop low-range transfer case search.

Sounds like you want a sequoia or one of the 4runner cases then. I don't know specifics but those are the awd cases. Sean

A340F left hand drop low-range transfer case search.

As far as I know, all first gen tacoma, 00-04 tundra, 01-04 sequoia, and 95-04 4runner cases will suit your needs. You need to identify what version of case you want though. Sean

Lexus GS400 1uz Water Log Vs Tundra 2uz Water Log It looks like everything will clear with the exception of the water bypass fitting on the manifold. The lexus one is lower down and tilted more horizontally which means the hose hits. The back side of the manifold where the fitting is pressed in...

2001 to 2005/6 throttle body adapter design and test fit. After hearing a couple people speak highly of swapping to the 05/06 plastic manifold, I figured I would give it a shot. The 05/06 manifold has a different bolt pattern than the 00-02 so I took some measurements, made a cad template...

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

100% recommend getting a diy alignment setup. I used to chew up front tires like crazy even after getting it "professionally" done. Its night and day better after I started doing it. Sean

"The Blue" - 06 Tundra DC Limited - Backcountry Camping Build/Adventure Thread

I had not noticed the lack of a "rim protector" until you pointed that out. I really liked my duratracs but I majorly chewed them up with a bad alignment and they were due for replacement. Goodyear didn't offer the 295 size I went with this time so I went BFG. Sean
