    The 255/85R16 Tire Official List

Well Jim, what you wrote was true, or is always true...and your timing quite good. Some hints here now, but I must save the details. Firstly, I'm making yet another run at reviving my neglected blog. Printed magazine work is still my pressing priority, but I've got some things planned...

    Maxxis Bighorn MT-762 tires

Congratulations on ordering new tires! :) I'm a Cooper fan but it's always good to try diiffent treads. Unless something has changed, Bighorns are relatively loud and fast wearing, but a good grippy tire. I remain a fan from the sidelines as they are offered in the excellent, 285/75/18 35"...

Good call on both! I dislike how traditional air spring setups limit travel.

CXT I'm digging the tread Frank, I'd like to see them in person. Of course I need another set of tires like more holes... 315s are fine. :)

    Alaskan on a 97 F250 4x4 Diesel

I had a 1996 F350 for 18 years and used it much off-highway, and those old frames can/do twist lots. Was never a problem for me then but I wan't running a popup camper either. The added space between the cab and camper can be a plus for clearance when you are flexing. Nice work and looking...

    The 255/85R16 Tire Official List

Mastercraft CXT http://mastercrafttires.com/Tires/Light-Truck/Courser-CXT.aspx Mastercraft is a Cooper brand. The CXT 4-rib commercial traction tire is offered in a 255/85/16, and the specs indicate it is more traditionally sized than the S/T MAXX, 33.15" tall instead of 32.8". It is also...

Cooper Discoverer STT PRO - Deep Look

Not really...the sidebar/second part is about Guayule rubber, a separate topic related to tires overall. In the original magazine layout format, the separation is more obvious.

    The 255/85R16 Tire Official List

Surely LR E will be firmer than the LR C you are replacing. However, the fact that the Extreme Country is a 2-ply sidewall design should help tame then a bit compared to some others---the Toyo MT comes to mind. ;) James

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

I was able to find one locally recently, already converted to 12v, price was fair. I'd wanted one in tan but the one I bought is green camo, and I'm starting to like it (don't want the project/hassle of painting it). Could their be a more rugged off-highway capable utility trailer? At surplus...
