Thanks guys. I thinned the paint with mineral spirits and used about 30% ms.
I also wet sanded with 800 after every 2 coats. To get into the areas a roller wont reach a just used the rattle can version of this paint and blended into it.
I didnt want to spend a pile of cash
on a paint job thats going to be dragged through bushes and beat on. Hopefully it holds up decently but I will say it'll be easy to touch up when needed compared to a 2 stage and clear.

Thanks for all the encouragement guys! Had it out last weekend for a mellow weekend with the lady and our dogs at east park reservoir in Mendocino forest..took the extra scenic route home.Screen Shot 2016-05-17 at 9.22.50 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2016-05-17 at 9.18.50 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2016-05-17 at 9.22.30 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2016-05-17 at 9.25.11 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2016-05-17 at 9.26.57 PM.jpg

Very cool build so far. I love how well the camper fits in the utility box. :)

Thanks!
So I have some plans to use the driver side boxes for specific items.. the rear box that is a bit smaller after cutting will house my tankless water heater which fits nicely and is in good proximity to the gas and water lines I'll use. I picked up some water inlets and out lets to install on the bed and camper as well as a couple ac cord pass throughs for the gas line. I'm hoping it'll be a quick and painless solution for unmouting and mounting the camper. I believe I'm going to put a 20lb lp tank in the fwd
d side box and plumb a gas grill in the box over the d side wheel for outside cooking. Looks great in my head!
