Well we just bought one with 300,000 miles 😂. It all depends on how comfortable you are playing mechanic. To me, that mileage is LOW. But for someone not comfortable holding a wrench it may be high. Breaking down and playing mechanic in Baja sounds like an adventure to me 🤷🏼‍♀️

The backwards lug was just there to check for thread damage. Having to guess at which direction to loosen a nut already torqued to 400 lbs tends to distort threads a little 😂🥲.

Curious for some wisdom out there. New to me Fuso FG. I was rotating tires today and pleasantly noticed RH and LH threaded studs on the same rear wheel. Couldn’t find the info in the service manual. Is this stock format or is the previous owner just diabolical? See the attached pictures...

Anything past 210° is too much heat for me. That’s when I downshift and just let the traffic build up behind me 😂 or pull over if it doesn’t cool down

UPDATE: found a plate on the inside passenger door confirming the chassis number is 12 digits and isn’t supposed to match the 17 digit VIN number.

Anybody else in the US have 17 digit cab VIN and 12 digit chassis number?

Appreciate the info. My truck is a 2007 FG if that helps to track down info. I also have the service manual breakdown and it checks out for the 17 digit VIN in the cab but not the 12 digit chassis #. I’ve seen other Fuso chassis #s on some other threads who also have 12 digits.

Second swapping out the gauge for aftermarket. I have VDO gauges in my Land Rover which are way more accurate than the originals. Another thing to look for is air in the coolant lines. That’ll slow down flow of coolant for sure

Howdy folks, couldn’t find what I needed in the search function or the service manual. Is there a difference between the VIN located in the cab vs the chassis number on drivers side frame? Cab VIN is 17 digits vs chassis # is only 12 digits. Thanks

Thank you for all the replies. I’ve sourced a service manual which is 3,000+ pages and great, but there are no parts numbers associated with any of the diagrams ??‍♀️. Most of the Aus parts pages don’t specifically have parts for the FG140, so I’m a bit hesitant to buy those parts just yet...
