    Cooking inside a Columbus RTT

I don't think its a good idea. Cooking leaves traces other than just scent that would be attractive to unwanted pests. And that would be problematic not only while camping but when the tents is in storage. You might just leave her closed for a few days and when next you use it find a nest of...

    ExpoScout's 03 Tundra

If you get a set of wheels with 4" backspacing you will not have any issues with the control arms. My set-up up front is with the Bilstiens set at the 2.5" notch and the wheels are 16x8s with the 4"backspace.

    Haggis' Multi-Use Tundra Build

And the sun sets...exit stage left... After four years of shenanigans, tom foolery and an occasional glimmer of useful information this thread comes to a close. Not to worry, the epic saga that follows in Fafhrd the Tundra wake will continue, but in more distant lands than the Portal. As far...

Extreme 4x4 builds an Expedition Tacoma

I think its the current trend of ExPo snarkiness, one upmanship and bloated ego and opinion and the only point being made is how superficial members here are becoming.

Extreme 4x4 builds an Expedition Tacoma

It really is quite shameful...some guys builds a truck the way he envisions it to be without first checking with the experts...or clearing it with certain forums...or not following the proscribed build everyone else follows. Doesn't he know if he builds a truck different than either me and you...

    ExpoScout's 03 Tundra

Sears Diehard Platinum Marine series 31 It was a tight fit and the factory cables just stretch enough to reach the terminals, but it fit in there. It even fits in the factory plastic tray, though I did have to modify the bend on the factory hold down to make it work.

    Dream Boat

That is a nice boat and yes its begging to get used. I might not run a Class II or III with it for fear of banging it up, but I'd be puddle jumping and big river paddling the heck out of that thing. Nice find and kudos for rescuing it. post up some pics when you get 'er wet!

Floridians do Utah (a traverse plus some other stuff)

Hey, I missed this thread too. I 'm glad it resurfaced as it is a prime example of what a trip report should be. Well done, well done indeed.

    Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx

I've run both...the DC FCIIs and now the S/T Maxxs. Here's my thoughts on comparing the two.... *The FC are better in the snow than the Maxxs. With much more siping and a tighter tread pattern the FCs offer way more traction on snow, ice and in my experience in the sand. *The Maxxs are...

You say wheeling, we say laning... Picture heavy.

Thank you for the response! I always wonder how much access there is across the pond and how hard it is for you guys to enjoy the hobby we all love. We here in the northern portion of the Americas are probably a little bit spoiled by all the open public land at our disposal. It's funny that a...

You say wheeling, we say laning... Picture heavy.

Thanks for sharing, I always wonder what ExPo folks are doing in the other parts of the world and often wish that international members would post up more of what they do on a regular basis and not just on what epic treks they do. Though those are cool too. That brings up a questions, if you...

4th Generation 4Runner. Getting back into the fray

We've had a 4th gen 4Runner in the stable for just over a year now, it's my wife's daily driver and what not. Ours is the V8, my wife averages just a tad under 19mpg during her goat path of a commute and it accelerates like a rocket at the red light dyno. I've even towed my construction...

    C.Shontz 2001 Jeep Cherokee (Progress)

Best that I can determine the water pump seized suddenly and without warning on a very cold January morning. Allison noticed a sudden loss of heat and was trying to find a safe place to pull over when the motor gernaded. The number 5 piston exploded pretty spectacularly. I found a good used...

    C.Shontz 2001 Jeep Cherokee (Progress)

It could be worse Chris; this was for Ally's Jeep back in January… Thankfully Al an Adam came up and gave me hand swapping the motor, and as cold as it was it was a feat beyond the call of duty. Between the PA rust, the lack of accessability, the inability to pressure wash the Jeep...

    The Other Black Rifle...

That is a fine rifle Tuscon. I like that you use it..old rifles and old cars should be used for what they were made for and not just be hidden away.
