    C.Shontz 2001 Jeep Cherokee (Progress)

Chris, for what is worth, I found a good low mileage 4.0 for my daughter's XJ when it's motor went south for $500 at the local boneyard. The biggest problem with the swap is reaching the bellhousing bolts on the back of the block as there's not much room to get yer hands in there.

2006 Toyota Tundra DC hunting rig/family wagon/adventure mobile

Welcome to the Tundrabirds! That's a good looking truck. We are all looking forward to seeing what you have planned for it but more importantly what you do with it.

The Fake Jeep Not a Real Cruiser Thread

That rack looks good up there, better than the factory to my eyes. We want to do something similar but will have to use the full flat version because of the extra length of the Maggie. I will be watching to see how this rack holds up for you as I'm always a bit dubious of how western powder...

The Fake Jeep Not a Real Cruiser Thread

Hells yeah...what kind of knucklehead gets rid of a perfectly good 1st gen Tundra? Fafhrd is going strong as ever and will be in the family for a long time. Well we found ourselves in a situation we weren't expecting and the FJC was the best solution. It's a long story and I don't want to...

The Fake Jeep Not a Real Cruiser Thread

Well Kristian, we just followed you down the rabbit hole. No, not with a new kid (I'm just trying to get my two out of the house) but with a newish FJC sitting in the garage. Its basically a twin of yours; same year, same color and options and though it wasn't exactly what we wanted it fit the...

    Dirty Devil Country

Nice photo essay, thanks for posting up your run. It's almost an antidote to the cabin fever that's starting to brew up over this way.

Ozark Overland Rally (The beginning) March 28th-30th

Jlandon, I would just like to applaud you and your associates for taking the time and effort to scout, organize, plan and implement this event. With the trend in the overlanding world towards pay-to-play events its nice to see a run similar to what was being done when this forum was much...

    Derek's 'BST' Tundra Build

Everything I've read and been told says that to put a locker in a LSD equipped Tundybird you have to swap out to an open diff as the ARB wont work with the LSD third member. That being said the LSD in Fafhrd is very tight (a lot like an Auburn) and I've never felt the need to go full locker...

Northern Explorer's Trip Write-Up Consolidation Page

Thank you for doing that. I have always enjoyed the trips you've shared with us and even been inspired to follow somewhat in your footsteps. It nice to see an ExPo member that is actually out there and not just posting driveway shots of their newest set of tires.

    Deep snow without skid plate?

That would be my suggestion. The factory skid is prone to rotting anyway and the skidrow one is definitely beefier.

Your Tundybird is lookin' fine JC. I really need to get mine out somewhere other than hauling things to work or to huntin' spots.
