    Moab and more closing?

If my local DNR has the power to take vehicles and licenses for keeping a fish outside legal limits, why is it so hard for someone to just confiscate vehicles and licenses that go out of bounds? It really seems like it should be much easier than it is, and the original poster is right - once...

    MARS expedition Hummer

I would think the tracks would really tear up the tundra they will be driving through...Big balloons at all four corners would seem a better approach.

To MAC or Not To MAC (and other DV questions)

Our mixed environment uses Mac for all video editing, no matter how minor.

    Vista versus ?

If you use outlook for email, stick with the PC. There is no easy way to convert the .pst file from Outlook. I run a mixed PC/Mac environment and they both have their place. PCs for most desktop applications, Macs for video editing.

Weakest point in winch and rigging?

Weakest link = operator! In my experience, rope is safer but subject to more environmental damage (including sand and ice); cable is more durable but dangerous when it lets go. Failure points seem to be outside the winch/cable/block and more with the connection points (weak bumper, poor...

    Tent safety and wildlife

I don't think tents/cars are for protection from large mammals, as much as they are for small critters/bugs and the elements. We smell (:steak:), and cannot really help it. We can reduce the amount of 'interesting' smells in a campsite. Seperate eating from sleeping area, keep toiletries with...

    Wildlife Photography

Here are a few I really like, not for the quality, but for the memories of when they were taken. Saw this guy as we rounded a bend in the river. There were dozens of beluga pods swimming around us. A little closer than I was planning on. I am gonna get you...

    Looking for the right Canoe

Long time listener...first time caller Wenonah and Bell make awesome boats, and are both built within 20 minutes of my house, but I would recommend you look at the Old Towne Penobscot (in royalex) as your first canoe. For the money... It has good initial and secondary stability, handles loads...
