Rigid corrugated plastic then stainless steel, then the aluminum outer skin.

There is a cover that goes over it as well as a rainfly. It is held under tension with stainless steel poles and mounts on the fron. Tested it in the rain on a trip, no pooling at all. That photo is just the front bed extended.
